Well, chinese. I was born in China and moved to Australia, Canberra when i was 6. So I can speak, read, understand Chinese fairly well, though I can't write so well. And I have to take chinese lessons during the weekends. Which was extremely boring because I can understand everything and all they ever do is read. (which i can do perfectly well.) But I'm glad that this year I won't have to... But Ican speak a few words of french (learnt in yr1) some indonesion (spell check) (2,3,4) and I'm extremely interested in learning japenese. (WHy can't I learn it?) Chisa, since you can say chinese, spell it or something, I'm extremely curious... And... i'm like, Chinese, black hair chinese, not blonde/brown hair chinese, Yeah, so, Australian-English and Chinese

I quote exactly what someone said in Spanish class today: "Te quedas bien zapatos y tengo compro calcetines. Costar cuarenta cientos y diez y cinco pesos" (You fit me badly shoes and I have I buy socks. To cost forty hundred and ten and five pesos.)

Well, I am learning spanish(for the second time, forgot everything I learned the first time). And, you could say my first language was spanish. Instead of my first word being mom, or dad, it was taco I blame it on my brother, he really likes to eat at TacoBell

I can say a bunch of stuff in several languages. I took Spanish for a million years in elementary school, but can't say much with that. I took four years of Latin and a year of Arabic in highschool so I can say stuff in those languages. I also did this online thing (free) and learned some Scottish Gaelic words. I just finished a semester of French in college and I watch movies from India (Bollywood) and I've picked up a ton of words from that so I could probably introduce myself and stuff in Hindi. I also know a couple Italian words. Jeez, that's a lot!

Im not absolutely sure, but i do think Cat in spanish is gato, like in portuguese and Water is agua. in portuguese, we write the accent (´) in agua, so it becomes like Água. Another difficult thing for u n it's easy for me is the pronouns... To say about an item, u just say like: The chair, the cat, the dog, the water. The Latin languaghes normally uses the pronoun practically saying that everything has a gender. Translating all the items i said in the order to portuguese it'll become: A cadeira, O gato, O cachorro, A água. So French, Spanish, Portuguese, all these have the pronouns after the word. It doesn't matter if the ct is male or female. U just say O gato... it can be of any gender.. I was so long in the explanation, but i hope i said it all correctly.

Wow! What a breadth of languages we all speak here! Incredible! Congrats to all who expand their minds! English- native speaker Danish- quite good conversational level (I lived there for a year) Sign Language- does that count ? Studied to be a college English professor for deaf students, so pretty good skills. Spanish- poor, haven't used it in many years German- fair Swedish is so close to Danish that I can get along pretty fairly in that country as well. Russian- perhaps a dozen words... ha ha ha! And I know several rude hand gestures in Korean. Ha!

Well growing up canadian i speak english fluently, I speak french still well enough on a basic level and can understand it somewhat, though i understand it better when reading it. I also speak a bit of Gaelic, mainly consisting of introductory phrases... and swear words and insults (only in an old scottish language would you get an insult that says "your face resembles the northward end of a southward travelling ox" ) I do plan to pick up the gaelic again (since theres more than one type its scots gaelic)
