Is anyone else having good luck with their stocks? It's certainly putting me into a holiday spirit! Counting yesterday and today, my stock sales have totaled nearly 600,000 NP!!! (Over 300,000 NP of that is profits!) I've already splurged way too much fixing up Alecksander2002's Bedroom in my Neohome. I also made some changes to the Family Room and Kitchen. So expensive but I love my Neohome!!

Oh, also my Kitchen is mostly complete, I'm waiting for a Glitch fix so that I can add the Potion Shelves to the kitchen where the Dual Vase Ornaments are sitting.

Regarding the stocks, i dont know how to do those and make neopoints, i always pick the wrong stocks you can never pick the wrong stocks unless you buy one for more than 15 np per share..... its the patience part that kills me I can't stand it when I've had the same stocks for a month and they go down then come back up so i end up with like 6000 of something that i know will barely even hit 30

As long as you buy 1000 shares of something that is currently at 15NP then it's the right one. All you have to do is wait and if you can afford it, buy 1000 more the next day but only of stocks that are 15NP a share. The long part is waiting for it to rise, I swear I think I've had some shares of things for years! But as you can see in the past two days, all that waiting has paid off. For the stockmarket you'll want to buy 1000 shares of any 15 NP stock every day unti you can't afford to anymore. They all will eventually rise to 30+. Don't sell until they get to at least 30 NP.

I've made over 1 million NPs in the last week. Woo-hoo!
As DL said, there's no real trick to it. I try to buy 1000 shares daily of something that's at 15NP (or 16NP, max). I hold it until it's at least +100% and then sell. Unlike real stocks, this is random. There's no "market" to influence the value of the stock. Just buy at the lowest and sell.

what's great was when my np guide was paying out over 23 per day, i'd buy my shares and then still have over 5k to put in the bank... it's back up higher like that again, i just have spent so much on nmez lately that i haven't even been doing the np guide, just my regular dailies *bangs head on desk* if I remember correctly I sold all of my stocks for presents

They used to be run by the "market"... and stocks used to be able to be purchased at 2np minimum. Can you believe that? Those were the good old days. By 1000 shares at 2np, let the free market take it up to 30np and sell sell sell!

wow that would be great if they still let you buy at 2nps...i definately would have patience to wait til it soared...but what you said about stocks for years...i know i had fish for atleast a year.i was more than estatic to sell it at 35 per share when i saw it was up. now if i could just remember never to buy that one again. i should do more stocks but when i had so many that weren't paying off for the longest time i got really discouraged in having my nps tied up like that. but i am gonna start doing it again...i am sure i will be complaining that i did in a few months when i haven't been able to sell anything

My general philosophy to avoid getting frustrated, is to just look at the prices, I dont' even bother looking at the names of the stocks. Unless it's 15np (to buy more of it) or more than 30 (to sell it) I just glide through the listing and look at all the numbers. I try to vary my portfolio with different companies but if something I already own is at 15NP I try to buy 1000 more of that so that when that stock goes to 30+ I can sell all those shares.

I agree! I am one of the worst with stocks, I bet...I'll buy them but never even check them...only occasionally. I remembered to check today and guessed that they might be doing well because of the holidays...I am so loving my portfolio right now lol. I bought HUW for 18 np and it's currently at 69. I went ahead and sold most of it.

Mine have been doing a little better than usual. I do the buy at 15, sell at 30. One of these days I'd like to have one of those that goes way way up to over 300, but when I've tried to wait it out, I'll go back to check and the one that was maybe up to 37 or 40 something has dropped back to 25 or so. So...I usually just go ahead and sell at 30. For a while I was buying 1000 shares every day, but I kinda got away from it. I need to get back to that because my bank account isn't what it should be. Now Captvatng...SHE'S the one with all the money from the stocks!!! She is a little market whiz!!!

i know i had over 100k shares when I sold and the only reason i sold them all was because it was all profit, even though some were at like 12, the difference from what i lost from them and what i was making off of others still put me in the green on it all.... i just won't buy stocks anymore unless I'm making the np to buy them with and not tapping into my bank account, i'd ended up scrambling to get my 15000 every day and that's part of why i sold, to start over with it all... i couldn't stand seeing over 90% of my stocks looking horrible and my bank account bone dry

I know what you mean. For a while it seemed like all my stocks were constantly in the red.
I really haven't been buying 1000 every single day like I used to, because you're right...if you have to keep tapping into your bank account to make purchases, before long you have tons of nps tied up in stocks that are in the red.

Over the past week I've probably sold about 15,000 shares for about 570,000 NP. I curently have 72,000 shares at a cost of 1,080,000 NP with a market value of 1,129,000 NP. If I hold out for all of those 72,000 and sell them at just 30 NP, that will be 2,160,000 NP. And I don't usually sell at 30, it's usually between 33-45!! [/brag]
