I was checking out lindey's bank interest guide and it got me thinking about how you could get 1 million a day just from interest. I know the NT answered this a few issues ago but I was too lazy to try and find it so I did the math myself.
The highest interest level currently is 12.5%.
If you wanted to earn 1,000,000 a day just from interest then that means you'd need to have an amount that would get you 365,000,000 annually.
So I divided that amount by 12.5% and came up with 2,920,000,000.
In order to earn one million NP a day from just bank interest you'd need the 12.5% interest rate and nearly 3 BILLION Neopoints! Imagine what you could buy with THAT though!

lol i wish i could get back to a million nps..this summer i really buckled down to see how much i could save and was up in the 5 millions but then started looking at my neohome again and lol well as you have read..i am way below a mill now lol...i have stopped shopping temporarily i know when we spoke of doing a neogarden judging i went and decorated a garden and spent over 200k i believe on it but wasn't able to use some items but kept them then had some there too. but i wish i had the discipline to save 3 billion nps but i wouldn't be able not to shop that long to get there oh by the way thanks for the info on that though very interesting to know the trivia of interest..how interesting lol

Ugh, I know. Neohome is the leading cause of a shriveling bank account for me too, lol. It's so much fun to do, I don't know why.

it is too much fun and cost so darn much to really buy all the pieces you want and good grief some is outrageous and i want some of the unbuyables sooooo bad like a couple of the exotic rugs..and i want some to go with the faerie bed linds got me..nothing they sell right now justifies the beauty of the bed...but i wish they would or hope they will keep with the lines and make the matching pieces as unique and pretty...like i had the lenny beds..having a heck of a time finding pieces to compliment those....they come up with something awesome and don't complete the lines out..but i bet if i ever get tired of my neohome i will be one rich neopian!

Wow that would take forever to earn 3 billion neopoints. I would be happy with getting 10,000nps or more a day from interest. That would be cool.

I don't think I will ever make it to that kind of a balance. I like to buy stuff too much! ;D I do get the highest interest rate, but I am barely over 1 mil now. I should do Lindsey's clickables, but I tend to get on and play some games, look around at the posts and get back off.
(oh, and my computer is DEAD DEAD DEAD...so I'm using our new one with Vista on it, and let me tell you what...it's nice, but there are a lot of things it won't run. We're taking Mitch my pc tomorrow, because we've tried stuff and it hasn't fixed it yet. I'm frustrated with it. All my neopet files are on it, too.)
So I probably won't be making much in the way of nps for a while.

My computer at home appears to be dead too. I'm really scared because it won't start up and I haven't backed up since August so that means every picture, every drawing, every evertying that I've done on my computer could potentially be gone forever and that makes me sad. All of winter, Christmas, New Years, birthdays since August GONE. Needless to say I can only get on when I'm at work and that isn't too terribly often as it is. I'm sad. Good thing I didn't put up that theme week or we'd really be in troubule.

Found out my hard drive is toast. Good thing I backed up all my pictures and documents on my external drive. But I still will lose some stuff. We bought a new HD and we are running it up to Mitch so he can partition it and install Windows, and then I will have the fun of reinstalling all my programs again. I think the new one will end up being Art's for now, although I do like Vista for web browsing. Mine runs XP Pro. Just haven't decided how we're going to do it. Art's been playing his new game on this one, but it has the bigger hard drive and I do more with pictures and files, but then again games take a lot of space, so I'm just not sure. I have found that if you go to the manufacturer of whatever program you are having trouble with using Vista, and you look around, you can sometimes find a patch download to fix the program. Or sometimes you just need to go to the manufacturer of your graphics card and download the latest driver for it. That has helped me tremendously.

I have a Maxtor external drive that I back everything important up on. It's really handy..just push a button and it backs up your entire computer, or you can save individual files in folders if you want. So far it's been pretty dependable, but Maxtor usually is. My hard drive that died was a Western Digital. Mitch has always said, buy Maxtor, but WD was on sale one time when I needed one so I bought it. I should have listened to my son instead of my billfold.
