Well, I was reading the editorial this week and there were a couple questions about a new movement called GUP, or the Green Uni Project. Basically people adopt rare pets from the pound and morph them into green unis. Personally, I find this rather funny. Anyways if you want to read more here's a couple links: neopets.com/~green_uni_morpherwww.neopets.com/ntimes/index.phtml?section=editorial&issue=283I guess this is something you may need to consider if you are going to abandon a pet.

well green uni morphing potion is the cheapest morphing potion and you get an avie for morphing your pets..which i suspect is the reason for this happening. but i will take a look at the article. anyway that is why i bought green uni morphing potion...i love avies and actually i think i did or do have two of those potions in my safe..at one time i thought about collecting morphing potions..then i bought potions to help me get back my original pets just incase the lab ray turned them into species i didn't like...mostly use my lab ray for colored pets and increasing stats. but like right now the lab has my original blue yurble turned into a red techo...those are fine pets but not my favorites...so eventually when i get really high stats i will morph him back to a yurble..i love me yurbles!

I think this group was made to take a stance against the pound surf boards that clutter up the HC. However, it does sound like a good excuse to also get avatar for morphing one of your pets. I dunno, I thought you all might find this funny. It's interesting to see what people come up with on neopets.

^ Which is surprising, considering its a virtual community of basically just "pet owners." You'd think, how much can really happen there? lol That's why I like Neopets. It's so much more complex and entertaining than a virtual pet site.

I think the whole thing is silly, lol. It doesn't anger me but I think it's mean-spirited to take rare colored pets and turn them into a common one.

well i'm kinda torn between this. first of all it's quite amusing haha. but some people wouldn't be able to afford a pb to paint a pet, and therefore use the pound to get a rare or painted pet. however there are others who just adopt rare or painted pets for the "status".

I agree with you Dl. I mean, I know where you're coming from. There are tons of people who use their lab rays to turn pound pets into painted pets so that they have a better chance of being adopted, and for this group to go around reversing that is a waste.
It is humoring but quite inconvenient at the same time.
