What happened? It's been down forever now and I'm itching for my Daily NP Guide! I know lindsey was doing site updates to fix a few vulnerabilities but I thought she was done with that when the site came back up. It's been down for a while now, does anybody know whats up?

yes lindsey called me today..and well she is having computer issues but she said something about that server wasn't doing right as well...but she gave me no heads up on when it will be fixed or her back online

I talked to Lindsey briefly also. My phone was almost dead so we had to cut it short, but she is having all sorts of connectivity issues. I plan to call her tomorrow so maybe I will have an update.

ok lindsey called me today and here is what is going on...she doesn't have cable internet because the neighbors dug a new pool and the people didn't survey the land to find cables and wires...so it destroyed her cable..the cablevision company said because no one else in that area doesn't have cable she would have to restore it out of her own pocket which would be like 700 dollars. the computer she bought crashed then she took it back got another one..it crashed..took it back got a laptop it crashed or had problems then got another one...it too had problems and they said this time no one else was having these problems and refused to give her another one. so she has a desktop just no way to connect...she uses her cell phone as her main phone line..so she can't get dial up...and right now the laptop she had isn't working...so she is considering her options such as installing a land line with basic features to get internet or looking into a different laptop...i wasn't able to talk for long because i had to pick up my daughter but for now that is all i know

Yes, that's pretty much what she told me, except that they are trying to move. So it may be a long time before she is back online with any reliability. It seems like nothing is working out for her.  |

I hate frivilous lawsuits but in this case I think lindsey would be fully in her right to take it to court... can't she sue the people building the pool for damages she has to pay for that she didn't even have anything to do with?

well maybe but seeings how its not really her property i would think not..the cable people suggested it to her but put it like this..you need to pay us up front then you can take them to small claims court

well just for one neighbor to get the cable is very expensive to run the line..i ran into that with natural gas...our street doesn't have enough people to justify the expense it cost to lay down the lines for natural gas...so i guess that's basically the same thing she is running into

i agree, it's one blasted thing going wrong after another... i got my laptop back today, so I'm working on re-uploading all the files to neopetsmadeeasy but I am planning on moving in the next week or so, and I don't know how long it would take to get everything arranged there before I could get back online, I can't afford to relocate and pay 30 bucks a week for a laptop when I don't even know if a wireless connection would be available there, so i will be sending the computer back when we move as it was rent to own.... then I'll have to work on getting what tanzi's got, as we're moving back there.....
I'll be moving nme back to a free host as I don't want to worry about the hosting if I can't get online to even make the payment or anything, so by going to a free host, even if I can't get online, everyone else will at least have access to it....
but that's all there is for now

well, the site's back... but not yet in tip top shape, still due to the fact of all that crud that messed up when my host's server went on the fritz... either way, the info's all back and I'm off to bed  and thank you everyone for all the well-wishes and dl.... I have to pay that out of my pocket so they will fix it, then I can turn around and try to sue the person that dug it up... but that idiot didn't even own the home and has since packed up and moved.... I can't sue the landlord for his idiot tenant so I'd have to try to track the tenant down but either way, I don't have 700 bucks just lying around to throw at them right now, so it's a lost cause as I see it and I feel sorry for the next person that tries to get it |

I talked to Lindsey yesterday she just wanted me to let you guys know that she is fine... getting ready for the move (fun...yea right) and that her Internet connection is really bad, her wireless signal is really weak so when she can actually even get on it's only to check email.
