This is a new feature on Neopets currently in Beta testing version. If you've ever dreamed of dressing up (or down) your Neopets, you might like this. neopets.com/customise/?view=PETNAMEHERE^ Fill in your pet's name at the end of the URL to get to the Neopets Customise page, or go to your pets' Quick Ref page and, under the pet you wish to dress up, click Make customisable! Alternatively, if you don't want them dressed up, on the very bottom of the quick refs you can click the revert back to un-customisable button. Basically, regardless of whether your pet is painted or not, you are given a random assortment of "clothes," "accessories," and "backgrounds" for your Neopet on the right pane of the Customise window. So not all the clothes will necessarily match your pet's color. On the left pane, you drag and drop the items that you want your Neopet to wear. To remove an item, you can click on the Applied Items View in the blue header (as opposed to Inventory, which is all the items available), select the item you wish to remove, and click Remove in the item's description box. Click Save Changes at the top of the Customise box to save your pet's look. This is how your Neopet will appear on the Quick Refs page and on the Customise window, but no one else will see your pets like this. There's also a new 'Neopet Customisation Beta!' Neoboard. I really hope they make this a type of thing like all the clothes that you have, you can wear. It would actually make the clothes have some purpose. I wonder if that's also what they'll do with Paintbrushes too.. you use them on your pet and then they will be able to take each individual accessory and use them. Kinda like what they have set up now in BETA.

the pb's would be neat but i don't see them doing that...i think that would be too much work for them to do but ya never know.but i do wish you could buy the clothes and put them on the pets that would be cool....like the tiara bunny has in her gallery

I like the idea of buying clothes from Unis Clothing or something and actually getting to show them off on your Neopet. I'm one of those people who's wondered what it would be like to dress 'em up...I hope this thing is here to stay, with a few tweaks here and there.

In a way, I almost wish that they'd release this in phases. Like release five different species every week. That way they can have a firmer grip on all the bug reports for each individual pet and be able to address the issues better and quicker.

Yep, my Lupe has no head. It just has eyes and that is it. It looked really strange. I sent them feedback about it. My thing is wouldn't this (if they use paint brush type clothing and accessories-like a roal cape and crown, or mystery island stuff) defeat the purpose of paint brushes? I would rather use the clothing I purchased from Uni's clothing and different places like that.

yeah i agree with that kris..if you can change your pet to look like a royal painted pet it would defeat the purpose of working towards that major expense of buying a royal paintbrush...the uni or clothes and even the armour suits would be a fun addition to be able to wear or show your pet wearing..i think it would drive the value in clothes upward for sure..especially if you had to own those clothing items

Because if you paint your pet Faerie then the wings stored as a clothing item that you can take off. Same with Royal or Island for instance. If you wanted an island Shoyru but wanted her to have the Royal Staff and Faerie wings... you could do that! I doubt they do this but they could also make these paintbrush items non-sellable and non tradeable and maybe not even transferable between pets of like kind in the same account. |

I think it would be fun to be able to put the items on them that you can buy..like the hats, t-shirts...things like that. OH MY!!!!! I could put a tiara on one of my girl pets!!!! Wouldn't THAT just be the best?? But I can see where that would take a lot of programming.

Let me see if I understand what you are saying dl.....so you would have to buy the royal paint brush and all the other paint brushes in order to have those accessories to put on your pet? |

^You'd have to buy those brushes and paint your pet with them to have those accessories, yes. That way you can have a Royal Faerie Island Kougra, hehe. I wonder then what color will be listed for your pet? Probably just the last color it was before you customized it.

yes, at least for now the pet stays the same original color...it's only temporary if you customize it and I would think they would keep that feature intact. Can you imagine how mad players would be if they customized a painted pet, and then wanted it to revert and it didn't? That would be a nightmare for the neopet staff trying to fix all that.
I kinda think it would be nice if you were given options pertaining to how your pet was painted. Like for Bixie, since he's faerie, if I could give him faerie accessories...like a magic wand or a wizard type robe...or a container of faerie dust..you get the idea. Or for a Christmas pet, you could put a string of lights on them, or a wreath, or a Santa hat or other Christmas related items.
There are a lot of possibilities to this whole idea.
when I got on Neopets I noticed my pets were no longer customized and this is what was said:

Paint Brushes are not changing! You will still need a Royal Paint Brush if you want to paint your Neopet Royal, for example. The only difference is that, now, you get items to wear AND a colour change. This gives you more freedom for customisation. You can pick and choose what to wear!
Currently, any items that are granted through Paint Brush use are not able to be sold or traded. |

I'm rather confused. My Acara is painted Faerie and the Wings aren't clothing items, just attached to her. And are the accessories from Paint Brushes the only clothes we can use? Because I've been buying things from Uni's Clothing and that's where they are saying you can buy parts like Bionic Cybunny. All that I can "Apply" are starry backgrounds.
