The Altador Cup Is Back! Once again the time has come for that most beloved of Neopian sporting activities - the Altador Cup! When we last checked in with the world's greatest Yooyuballers, the Haunted Woods had just pulled off a thrilling victory over the Darigan Citadel. Instead of resting on their laurels, however, both teams have made key roster changes, which they feel will vault them into being odds-on favourites to take home the Cup. The Citadel has elected to bench last year's goalie Mungo Lifler and start brilliant new netminder Reshar Collifey, while the Haunted Woods has plugged in bone-crunching defender Autry Fulse. Could either of these moves provide the edge that these teams need to reach the top, or could such adjustments have the opposite effect and backfire in their faces?
Those aren't the only changes you'll notice out on the playing field, though. In addition to a few free-agent signings and the arrival of some promising rookies, an entirely new team has come down from the mountains of Shenkuu to participate in the tournament. The sport itself has even undergone a bit of an alteration, with three new kinds of Yooyuball (Normal, Clockwork, and Darigan) coming into play for the very first time. Off the field, you'll find two new ways of lending support to your favourite Yooyuball squad, so sideline sitters no longer have any excuse for not participating.
What are you waiting for, then? Pick a side and get in on the action! So..............................................Which side are you on?? Unfortunately there will be no switching teams this year, so be sure of the team you want!!!
Like last year I'm on the Faerie team.. I might go for the new team below I dunno yet. I do know that I'm going to practice practice practice until I get it right this time instead of giving up!!! While regarded by Altador Cup enthusiasts as an exciting young team with plenty of promise, the squad from Shenkuu is not expected make much noise in the tournament. They simply have too many holes: the inexperience of goalie Xana DiLanche, the unpredictable health of defender Turo Rafels, and the team's overall lack of tournament play are all serious concerns. On the other hand, it's hard to look at the stunning talent of young forwards Misha Grelinek and Foltaggio and not suspect that they might not have a few upsets in them....Above quoted from neopets.com!

I picked Meridell this year. I'm really bad at this game, too. I'm sad that we won't be able to switch teams in case our team loses.

I don't think that game is really that hard! Just move the little people around with your mouse. Of course, it did take me awhile to figure out how to play it. At first I was using the keyboard. Anyway, I'm on the Shenkuu team. I guess time will tell how the noob team will do, huh?

All you need is 1 point for the avatar. That's all I'm going to focus my energies on.

I'm on the Krawk Island team, but I'm *HORRIBLE* at Yooyuball -- I've yet to score a point! I may be singlehandedly responsible for my team losing.
Sheesh.

I am horrible at it as well capt. I have been playing the other two games because at least I can score points and contribute in that way.

Even Art isn't good at that darn Yooyuball game. It's about the most annoying thing ever. And I absolutely HATE waiting on that little ball to arise out of the ground and get going. I have yet to win a game, although I have scored a few goals.
I submitted points on the idiotic "tapping" game, and on the slushie game. But I'm afraid Faerieland better not depend on my glorious scores at Yooyu. grrrr

Ugh, I hate how long it takes that stupid Yooyuball to come out of the ground too... I hate this game and just want to get it over with but no we have to wait for the stupid thing to rise and then the spotlight comes up. I haven't won yet, either but I have scored a few times.

All you have to do is push the apcebar when the ball is rising up, and it will skip that. In case you haven't figured it out yet.
