I was looking at it and some of the items (clothing, backgrounds, accessories) are a lot of fun. But what is neocash? It says you have to buy it. Does anyone know how they are doing that? Do you have to buy the neocash with real money? If so that is really going to stink. Plus it says that all items bought expire 90 days from date of purchase. If you have to use real money that seems like a real waste to me since the items go away in 90 days. So....if you want the clothing or whatever you bought you have to rebuy it.

Exactly Kris, I went to "purchase" some neocash and there's three increments, I believe it was $10 USD for 500 neocash, $20 USD for 2000 neocash anda $30 USD for 3000 neocash........ I think it really stinks to have to pay, especially because the items disappear in 90 days :-| Makes no sense whatsoever, unless that's when the beta testing ends, and if so they may not disappear if the beta testing goes well.

Oh so you do have to pay for the items with real money, that really stinks especially since there are some really cute items. I wish they would make more of the older clothing available to wear. I mean it's great that they are putting out new stuff but all the new stuff is probably expensive (I haven't looked into it because there are no items that I really want to see my pets wear yet). I have a pink tiara that is similiar to the one in the ncmall that I would like my peophin to be able to wear instead of having to "buy" it. I really like neopets but I think it is silly to pay for items on here especially if they do expire after a relatively short period of time. And it's not really fair to those who can't afford to buy neocash and buy the things they want.

Yeah, its like a club pogo thing, you pay to have the pogo, then they make these human characters available for anyone to decorate. However if you want the REALLY nice backgrounds, or the REALLY nice outfits and have ran out of the "diamonds" (there points from money) you're gven when first signing up with club pogo, then you can't get them. They have Free stuff, but it's not as nice as the clothes and animated backgrounds

I don't like the new mall thing. If they really want to make neopets better and more loveable, then they need to work on some of the OTHER new features they've tossed at us, like the customse thing.

Huh... no wonder its taking them so long to make the regular clothes wearable for pets.... they have their artists and programmers working on the for money stuff. Granted, I can't hate on them for it they HAVE to make money to keep the site free. I actually agreed with them on pretty much everything in the latest editorial. I think all of this stuff is great and if people actually want to use it, then why not?

I suppose they do need to make money. But they have a lot of advertisers to make money off of. Do they really need to make more off of the players? It's like www.meez.com, as far it being free until you want the really special things. Then you have to pay. I use it for my myspace page. You can actually use the free part and come up with some cool stuff if you work at it. And really, how much doodying up do you really need to do to your pets once they are painted? I tried some of the stuff on Bixie, but I wasn't that crazy about it. Not enough to pay extra anyway. I'm already paying for premium, and other than the Super Shop Wiz I don't get that much good out of it. |

Today I tried the Sparkling Pink Tiara on Bixabo...and it looked really really cute until I remembered that he is a male!!!!! hahaha I tend to forget that he's one of my boys since I painted him Faerie. I don't think he would like wearing a tiara all that much. ;D

I was going to, but the other three pets wouldn't let him alone. The teasing was relentless. They called him Girly-Man (watching old reruns of SNL evidently), Sissy-Boy and some others that I won't mention. So I think the tiara is pretty much retired to the closet.

Shame on them! Oh well... there's always the chance Bixy will fight the Lab Scientist in the battledome and be switched into a girl! That's how I changed Alexia2002 back into a girl, just battle the Scientist and one of his moves is to change the gender of the pet. Much cheaper than ANY other option out there.
Alternatively, if your Neopets intelligence level is "bright" (ONLY "bright" will work... anything else won't work) and then equip your pet with Cape of the Sun it will turn males into females (not vice versa though). I found one for as cheap as 6000 NP so its an affordable method if your Neopets' intelligence will allow it.

Isn't this Roo-in-the-box just the cutest?  I tried one on with Bixabo today in the mall. It has a little hand crank and plays musical notes and everything! Too bad you can't actually hear the music though. |

I really love the stuff they have in the mall... ever so tempted to fork over 5 bucks to buy something. But I don't want to convert Alexia or Alecksis so Alecksander is the only candidate. I really liked the Snowager background and a few other things like the icy wings. Although I don't think my little devil shoyru would appreciate ice wings, hehe.

Wow the new Ice Cavern background is really pretty and the new little dress is adorable. But it doesn't look right on a Shoyru. Most of the nice dresses and things don't because Shoyru's have such frumpy little bodies.
