ok here goes...i am thinking lol and on one hand i am not sure i want to do this but on the other hand i think why not! here is my question....i am thinking about selling off all the furniture in my home and safe! for a couple of reasons...first my neohome is not designed as i would like it...and i have bought so many items for my neohome that i didn't like in a room so just saving it...my point is...i could have all those nps and gradually rebuild rooms, keep the design prettier as far as layout of the rooms, and smaller cause i really want to win that neohome contest one of these days...but to me the layout is so blah! and i have so many rooms that its just way too much to really look at and some rooms i built just to have more things to put in a room because i loved the furniture...but i think that a smaller sized home and really only use the furniture that i love the most and really put more effort into each room and the layout will stand out much nicer! and the money i have left i that i don't use....put into making my gallery nicer! and filling it up so that atleast one catagory is complete! and maybe too i could eventually win a gallery contest! so what do you guys think? keep the neohome and all the furniture- and i will say i have 16 pages of furniture in my safe! lol. or start over and use my nps more wisely to achieve a nicer gallery and home and hopefully some trophys from it?

DO IT! I had the same problem myself a few years ago and while it was hard to eventually come to the decision, I've been happy ever since! Demolish your home and rebuild it now that you have an idea of how to work it and how you want it to look. You might even consider selling the space back to the bank and buying in a new neighborhood!
I spent a good two weeks or so laying out my new Neohome idea on paper figuring out which rooms I wanted where and what materials I wanted them built out of and that also let me know exactly how much I was going to be spending on building the thing. I ended up creating a layout I really liked and then ended up actually making the materials used in all the rooms symmetrical so that it looked good from above.
Another thing I did do and was glad I did was take a screenshot of every room that way when putting them back together I could remember how I had it.
DO IT!

I completely agree with dl.... I did the same thing, demolishing what I had and starting over - though I've only got the 2 gardens and the 2 rooms and I sold everything in there so I had more funds for x-mas (yes, I spent almost everything, imagine that) but dl's right... especially with the screenies so you know everything... and with the guides about what the items look like and such you should get a really good idea of how you want it and work on it that way good luck hun!

well good..i am glad everyone is being supportive of the idea...cause on one hand....it kills me and i even though the rooms i really really loved keeping them as is cause those rooms also were rooms that would fit into what i am thinking the layout should look like and had no idea i could sell my land! but i have no idea how to do screenies...i would love to do that

So you're going for it? I did the same planning for my Neohome, except I didn't have to demolish anything because it hadn't been built yet!! This past sumer, actually, I sat down and drew out floor plans for my Neohome lol. Well, I drew a square for each level of the house and smaller squares inside of it for rooms, just like the layout is on Neopets...and then I decided which rooms would go where and where I wanted entrances. I've just started building it though, so I've only been chipping at it and it'll take a looong time. But I think you'll love your Neohome if you plan something out..It doesn't have to be obsessively detailed like mine. And as Lindsey suggested, use some furniture catalogs and overhead views because a lot of neat furniture really looks horrible inside the Neohome viewed from above. These are two websites I visit often...they're really helpful!: Neohome GuideNeofurniture Catalog

yeah i found out about one that dl had posted wayyyyy after i had built my neohome....so this time i am gonna plan out things more carefully...lol i am already saying..oh i want to keep this piece and that piece of furniture...no gonna sell it all lol then start from scratch..not like the prices will go up too quick...and i will be collecting interest too...now its just a matter of taking things apart and pricing everything!

Good luck with you neohome fairy! I know its hard to start over again, but if you will be happier with the outcome in the long run then I say go for it. Seeing you guys talk about your experience with decorating your neohomes has definitely given me some ideas of how I want to go about doing mine when I finally decide to attempt it. I will make sure to draw out the layout like mentioned, and I know I'll be doing it one room at a time.

there is a link on the main page to sell your property. I think you have to do one room at a time.

Yea you have to demolish one room at a time and only then can u sell it back to the bank. That option wasn't available when I rebuilt my Neohome, I never liked my Neohome being on Dark Faerie Alley. I wish they'd let us chose the street before hand.
