So I have been thinking about what we could do for our next drive. What do you guys think of cans of neocola? It would be a uniform look, and they are relatively inexpensive. I know I have a lot in my SDB from playing Dice-a-Roo.
If that idea doesn't work, what about some type of spooky food? I've got tons of those in my SDB too, and I would guess so would a lot you.
Just throwing out ideas... ;D

I like the spooky foods ideas..they're varied, so there would be plenty of options for collecting. And it's fairly easy to find cheap ones... It would be a great additional touch to have that near Halloween. Good idea, TN! Hehe, this thread hasn't been updated in so long I nearly forgot we had drives!

I like both the spooky food and neocola ideas. Maybe we could have another plushie drive but include all plushies, now days a lot of them are only 100nps If you need someone to run the drive again, I will be able to do it, I do not work and hardly ever leave my house Have a pleasent day all

A drive is when members collect as many items as they feel in a certain category (spooky food, plushies, neocola, etc) and set up trades with the items for the member that is running it to pick up. So, for example if Gaudian was running the next drive, you would collect the items, set up a trade, and then she would log in onto the guild account and offer a junk item. She will keep track of who donated all the items. At the end of the drive, about two weeks i think, she will again log in to the guild account and then donate all the items. This brings in more members because people normally look up members who donate a lot to the money tree. So, they'll check out the guild account, and then hopefully click on the guild link and join. Did you understand all that?

Yay, I'm glad you guys like the ideas for the drive. And I don't mind helping with the drive either.

I've been saving omelettes and jellies for a long time so I'd definitely be excited if we did another of those again! I think the spooky foods one is also a good idea

well if i would vote for any it would have to be spooky foods...but i also know there are a few of us trying to save as many nps as we can right now to go for the adams avie so not sure how much of those of us doing that are going to go out on a shopping spree for the money tree...neocolas tend to be a bit high..i will participate but not as much as i normally do because of the nps collecting for me and the others that are going in on that adams avie.

Hmm the Spooky Food's drive was done (I believe) last year at Halloween, so I think we should keep Spooky Foods at Halloween. Maybe when we have the next theme week, (I head Fauna saying she would like to do a Garden Themed one) we can do a "Beverage" or "Sand" drive... Because than it is almost summer. In the summer you need cool beverages and you tend to go to the beach where there is sand... But you can't really do anything with Sand but sell it. I would acctually like to wait on a Drive just becuase Dl is busy with school and for some of us school is almost ending, so you are on the crunch to finish. Plus like Fairy said alot of members are working for the Adam Avie so we can all pitch in to help each other.

If we do a drive now, or soon after theme week is over, I agree with Fairy that it needs to be something inexpensive. (I'm not going for the Adam avi cause I like to spend nps too much) It's easier for new members to contribute if they don't have to invest a lot of nps.
As far as dl being busy with school, doesn't he usually just give access to the slcg_drives account to whoever is doing the collection for the drive? He wouldn't have to do that much with it if he didn't want to. Probably doing the theme week is about all we should put on him right now. But I think we could manage a giveaway without bothering him with it too much. Tngirl said she would help with the drive, and I think there are other members who would as well.
Maybe we can get some more member input in this thread and see who is actually will to help. I do think waiting after theme week is over would be wise.

I agree, waiting for theme week to be over is a good idea. The sand idea is cute, but you can't really use sand so I'm not sure if that would be as good as doing a drive that involved something edible. Jellies are kinda summery if you wanted a summer type food (but then again, I'm partical to the jelly idea since I've been saving them for awhile now!).
I love drives....they're so much fun!

I agree with kristin, it would probably suit us best to wait until the theme week is over, and by then summer vacation (for most) will be around the bend..so we might decide to wait until then which hopefully would allow more time for some members to scrounge up those np and collect items for the drive. But at that, there's also those that go on vacation and might miss it..I'm guessing that won't be too big of a situation, though.

Hmm so I agree with what everyone has had to say. I think we should do a jelly drive because 1) it is inexpensive 2) there are so many different flavours and 3) it is very summery and 4) the colours of the jellies are very bright and catchy! I think we should limit it to items you can get at the Giant Jelly in jellyworld, not all jelly items like we have done in that past because that is expensive. Here are some jelly's you can get at the Giant Jelly (lets make it all the edible ones) (the ones with their names bolded are the cheapest ones): Blueberry Jelly Cornupepper JellyCranberry Jelly Frozen Jelly Lime JellyRaspberry Jelly Strawberry JellyHere are some trifles that you can also get from the Giant Jelly... I think we would have to decide if these will be included (I personally don't think they should, only because they don't look the same, and I know Dl likes it when they are similiar in looks becuase it is more eye catching) Strawberry Trifle Lemon Trifle Lime Trifle Mint Trifle Fruit Punch Trifle Citrus Trifle Chokato Trifle I think than if we do decide to do a Jelly Drive we need to decide if we will include the Half-Eaten Jellies.... Again I don't think we should only becuase it keeps it more uniform if you have the non-eaten jellies. These are only some ideas remember.

I thought of something, but now I can't think of what it is...I know it was inexpensive and it had something to do with summer. I know this isn't it, but would Doughnuts work? Jelly is a good idea, too.

well the only bad thing about doughnuts is they are at cheapest excluding the spooky food doughnut around 100 nps and higher...typically around 300 each. that would be hard to do too much of...i don't mind donating but to get the quanity of items to make a statement you need so much..and cheaper is always better when you give so much. like a good item could be sandals....those are cheap not that anyone really wants them but its more of a statement thing for advertising. but if we wanted to do something useful jellies are good because of price.... or even fruits/berries...those are realitively cheap and are summery. but i also agree to lets wait til summer break.

Jellies are good for a drive. The one we did in the past went well. I do think we should stick to just jellies, so they will be uniform. I think they make a really pretty drive giveaway too, with all the colors. And they can be bought cheaply.
