Sounds like a good idea to me. I can't see what harm it does to see a list like that. Sometimes they are so ...um....there's a word for it but I'd rather not post it.

Yes please don't post what you think otherwise I would have to do a Report Bad Post! on you!!! You wouldn't want to receive a PM about yourself now would you?!

I agree with most of the other members, I hope we never go private. If it is absolutely nessecary, then I understand, though.

I noticed this 2000 member board, and I have the guild membership in my siggy for the neoboards, and as of yeterday it was 1951, when I joined it was 1957 sooooooooo..... I was thinking I might go on a recruitment drive to see if I can push the figure to 2000. It may take a couple of weeks or more but...I'm bored I'm not sure though what I can list as the guild offering? and if new people join then someone needs to be looking after them...so they stay.......anyone interested in this?

regarding this recruiting....I went over to the guild on neo and saw that some people had been confused because we dont use the guild to chat ...and looking at the home page..it isnt easy to see where to go or what to do. I dont want to be stepping on any toes or anything but I was going to post a message there about neomailing myself or a council member if any new members need help. I see little point in inviting lots of peeps and then they get confused, and we lose them. Anyway its not my guild and I'm not council, and I'm newish! LOL so hopefully someone can help me with this. and pardon my posting twice on the same subject..its just that I was looking for info to give people when I'm recruiting..........

yes it is very confusing trying to get people to understand how the guilds set up on proboards..i remember when advertising i ran into a few smart mouths that did go and check out the guild site and saw we had a huge amount of members just no post and posted that yeah its a big guild but not active and then those i had looking just didnt' bother looking futher nor reading my message in the first post that our boards were held at another location.

Maybe we could set up a job for members to check the guild message boards every single day and reply to confused users who post and make sure that my message stays posted and not auto-deleted after 5 days.

OK, that might be helpful. ;D I'd love to take the job if there is one, but I can't because I probably won't be on the computer every day.
