Here here. Ashley. I completely agree. Still, it's so hard not to miss her; knowing that she will in fact not be coming back to us and worse how much life she had left to live.
It's true though we should celebrate having known her if only for so brief a time. She'd want it that way, for certain.

Im sorry to say i didnt get to know her that well. But i do remember her. She was very nice im only sorry i found out 3 years later im not much with words so ill only say she will be missed and to answer your message from before dl, i dont think you should send the family anything it could open up some sad wounds since it has been almost 3 years. but then again, it might comfort the family knowing leah affected so many people. Rest in peace Leah

My only brother died a few years ago, and I am glad when people mention him to me, or have a story to tell about him. It's been enough time that the horrible pain of loss isn't what it was right at first, so I'm able to handle it, and I am glad other people remember him. Same with my Grandma who died last year. It is somewhat comforting to know that others remember your loved ones, not just the family. So I think sending something is a good idea. Everyone deals with grief differently though, so you're certainly entitled to have your opinion, crazzy.

oh my. i just got the email&i was in tears when i read it. Leigh was so nice to me when i first joined which i l believe was two or three years ago. This hits me so hard that someone I never actually knew, but only knew from here, could have such a great impact on me. I haven't known too many people close to me, in age, pass away.
if there is any kind of tribute being done in honor of her, i will glady partcipate.
and its very good seeing you guys again!

That is tragic!! I knew Leigha in an internet-friendship way as well. Not too personally, but I know she was an amazing person. Her kindness just sort of...oozed out of her. Even without meeting her in person I could tell that. She was on the council when I joined the guild a few years back, and I was a little new to Neopets at that time. She was helpful! Reading that article just shows how much she accomplished, though, in her sadly short life span. My support is with her family, and may she be remembered.

I am so sad by this news. I chatted with Leah frequently because we were on the guild council at the same time. I sent you my blurb dl to send to her family. I am going to talk to my husband to see if we can put aside some money in order to contribute to her memorial fund. Is that ok that I want to contribute even though I did not know her for that long?

Hey Dl, Do you think it would be a good idea if you made a special tribute to Leigh in the guild Castle? I love the Rose Garden, maybe a plaque or a statue would be a good idea with her name on it ..or a room tribute to her. Think about it.... I think the idea would be really nice. Maybe a music room tribute since she loved music and the piano so well.

I think some kind of memorial in the castle would be very nice. Maybe a special fountain in the rose garden, or anything really...just something unique.

I like where you're going with the music theme because she enjoyed music..Maybe a stone/statue piano in the garden or something...with a plaque on it.

I have actually been thinking of some way to commemorate Leah in the castle. I hadn't thought of a statue or fountain. That's a great idea. I was thinking more along the lines of a room. I'll keep thinking about it and see what I come up with.

I think a music room is a good idea since she was so musically inclined, plus it's something we don't already have so it would be extra special.

The music room sounds like a great idea Kris! We needed one in the Castle anyway and this would be perfect.

I never had the opportunity to meet Leigh here in the guild, but she sounded like a wonderful person and friend. My heart goes out to her family. I think some sort of a tribute, whether it be a statue or a room, is a wonderful idea.
