I was debating putting this thread in DRIFTING CLOUDS but decided to put it here in Guild General.
Anyway, I'm happy to report that I know have a job! I'm working as Administrative Support for an online entertainment/advertising company. It's quite exciting, I can't wait to get started!
Anyway, here's where the drifting part comes in, I don't know exactly how much this will cut into my activity here at the guild but I'm sure it won't be a problem. After all, in high school I as not available for much longer amounts of time since I worked AND I had a dial-up connection.
Things probably won't seem very different other than me maybe posting less during the morning/afternoons!

That is some GOOD news, dl!!!! ;D I think this job is just what you need about now. Change is always good, especially when it is for the better. This job sounds like it is so perfect for you. But, we need DETAILS, oh Super Guild Leader....DETAILS! I bet you'll find the time for the guild. After all, you won't have all that darn studying to do now, and all those finals and papers and all that other stuff. You're going to be a regular working stiff. Congratulations and Best Wishes!!!

LOL, no I love it! For now, it's pretty much cake. I'm doing email support for www.iconator.com and for www.dollwizard.com and I'm also involved a bit in creative development and stuff. It's all pretty light work right now, they are going to officially launch the sites in the coming weeks so things should pick up then. At any rate, I'm lovin' it now. The title probably sound more exciting than it actually is but I love all the people there and I have a really good time. The only drag is rushour traffic on the 405 freeway. But since nftysqrt and I work so close to each other we carpool and take the Carpool lane a good amount of the way. I'm lovin' it!!

Oh Dl, I'm so glad you really are enjoying your work...It's great that you and nftysqrt get to carpool. I checked out the two links and I'm not sure what it is all about though.... I'm no computer whiz so It's like a foreign language to me, I'm not good with modern graphic things, I'm quite limited with my computer technology. As you know, I am way ..."cough"... a few years ahead of you and I did not have the priveledge of a computer... a type writer was my thing!!! LOL All of you youngin's grew up with the pc.... I'm picking things up here and there, enough to get by on...but your generation you all seem to live and breathe the computer...LOL I am happy for you that you enjoy what you do...it makes a world of difference to be happy at work....and it keeps you healthy...Good luck on the job!!!

Well iconator is a site that lets you upload icons for them to be rated by different people. You can also use the Resizulator to resize ur icons to the right sizes and you can use the Animator to make little animated gif images.
Dollwizard is a nifty little site, it's kinda like the paper dolls we have here at the guild but this is an interactive little thing that lets you dress different dolls.
