Wow only 21 people guessed the Lenny Conundrum! The answer to last week's was Year 8. 21 people guessed the correct answer earning themselves 95,239 NP each. Well done! This weeks: 8k - 5n = 8r u + 2o = 135 5d + 2c = 6m 2u + 3r= 10m 10b - L = 8m 3k - 4i = 2i 3n - 3o = c 2o + 3c = 33d 8i + 9r = 9n 10m + 7d = 3n 4d + 4e = 6b 4y - 6u = 2m 6b + 3c = 14m L + e + n + n + y + c + o + n + u + n + d + r + u + m =

Everyone's is different I think. Mine has different equations. I stayed up til nearly 1 AM last night trying to figure it out!! I got part way through it, but I bet by now 250 people have answered it.

I didn't know everyone had different equations. I bet that is how they are going to do it from now on so people don't cheat.

Oh, that just makes it more difficult! I mean, I don't share answers and I know the people here try to help but don't share answers either. Now we probably won't be able to guide each other either, if they do them all slightly differently. And mdith, if you figure it out you can still submit your answer and get a split of the np. Remember it's not first 250, but all correct answers now! Lol for the last Lenny Conundrum, I answered 'Lesson learned.' I wonder how in the world anyone guessed Year 8 out of the blue. lol

This week's is pretty easy, just a little time consuming. The Neopedia is very helpful w/ it though.

This weeks:
"Suppose you had a life-size map of Neopia, made of paper. The thickness of the paper is 0.1 millimetres.
Now, suppose you fold it in half. Then you fold it in half again, and again, and again. In all, you fold it in half 40 times.
How thick would the folded paper be? Please give your answer in metres, round to the nearest metre, and exclude any punctuation or extra information."
I usually look at it to see if it's something I can do. I think I figured this one out (it seemed pretty easy...just a few things on my trusty calculator) and I got in my answer within 10 minutes of it being posted! Pure luck that I happened to be on at the time, of course. I hope I'm in the top 250 to get it right....a nice avie for me!

We acctually did a question basically the same in math 12, and our teacher showed us how to solve it with our logging unit or something (I forget). It is in my notes but I haven't bothered to look for it yet... Maybe later.

Congrats, mdith!! Wow lol..this week, either they're really mad at us again for sharing answers and that's one looong bad word or it's simply a conundrum beyond my comprehension.

People on the boards are saying to read it right to left instead of left to right...

I tried figuring out something but I had no idea of where to even start. I thought of the opposite key on the keyboard, but keyboards are different in different countries, so that doesn't work. I think I'm just gonna have to wait til next week to find out the answer!

I thought about alt key code numbers( for example, to get @ you can hold alt and press 64 on the right hand number pad) corresponding to each symbol but I didnt seem to get anywhere with that.
