I am collecting candy (but not "officially" until DL gives the go-ahead). If you want, send it to me and I'll put it in my SDB until Halloween Theme Week.
If DL decides not to do a candy giveaway, then I'll confer with everybody who helps me collect candy and we can come up with our own candy-related giveaway.
I've got a couple of junk trades set up for candy.

;D Well I created the account specificall for these kinds of drives so that I wouldn't have to do them or use my main accounts, hehe. There's nothing in there, I don't think

Still I don't think many people would trust others into an account of theirs, no matter if there is nothing in it. I just think that is really cool! See that is why people should join this guild!

But ... if we're going to do treats, can we also do tricks like throwing rotten berries at each other? And ... while we're talking halloween (or All Hallow's Eve) ... is there any sort of celebration like this elsewhere in the world? Dl talked about Dia De Los Muertos... Well, it means Dead's day in english... Here in Brazil October 31st is Dia Das Bruxas or Witch's Day... But here we don't do anything... sometimes we celebrate something.. Commonly when u r at an English Course (to learn how to speak english) u have a Halloween Party, but never anything specifically from Brazil...

Commonly when u r at an English Course (to learn how to speak english) u have a Halloween Party, but never anything specifically from Brazil... Technically it means Day of the Dead:) Here's some more info on it: "El Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), a Mexican celebration, is a day to celebrate, remember and prepare special foods in honor of those who have departed. On this day in Mexico, the streets near the cemeteries are filled with decorations of papel picado , flowers, candy calaveras (skeletons and skulls), and parades. It is believed that the spirit of the dead visit their families on October 31 and leave on November 2. In order to celebrate, the families make altars and place ofrendas (offerings) of food such as pan de muertos baked in shapes of skulls and figures, candles, incense, yellow marigolds known as cempazuchitl (also spelled zempasuchil) and most importantly a photo of the departed soul is placed on the altar. It might sound somewhat morbid, but the Mexicans react to death with mourning along with happiness and joy. They look at death with the same fear as any other culture, but there is a difference. They reflect their fear by mocking and living alongside death. " --- www3.niu.edu/newsplace/nndia.html

Interesting! Here in Holland we don't have a day like that. But the last couple of years people are starting to celebrate halloween. No trick or treat or anything like that. I guess..it's more a party for commerce I'm looking forward to my first halloween here in this guild!

My country doesn't really do anything for Halloween. We've set up for chistmas already in a way. All the shops are already decorated for chistmas and not Halloween I wish my country celebrated Halloween but oh well. That;s not gonna stop me having friends voer to watch scary movies and go trick or treating. YEY ;D
I haven't been very active in the guild for a while (darn school) but if I can be of any help to anyone feel free to ask and I'll see what I can do.
hehe. CANDY IS FUN!!!!!!!! *Chisa will be quite now*
