I love Led Zeppelin. Can you believe I went to see them on my 16th birthday as a present from my boyfriend? We sat ON THE FRONT ROW! It was amazing. Long time ago...but I remember it as if it was yesterday.

I like a pretty wide variety of music:
Loreena McKennitt is my absolute fave and role model (I sing and write music too, and some people have compared me with her)
Enya, Josh Groban, Creed, Lifehouse, Deep Forest, Smash Mouth, Norah Jones, Les Nubiennes, America, Alan Parsons Project, opera (especially Puccini!), pretty much anything except country, rap, hip-hop, and r&b...as long as the singer has good pitch and puts a lot of emotion into their music!

I'm pretty open to most types of music, but I enjoy hard rock the most. My fav. bands right now have to be Breaking Benjamin, Seether, Staind, Rage Against the Machine, Three Days Grace, ect. I would have to say that my second fav. genre is a tie between techno and hip hop. I'm a junior in college and right now I'm taking the best class I have ever taken, History of Rock! =)

I have a tendency to get "stuck" listening to one artist for a month or so at a time. Right now I'm listening to Trace Adkins. Game On just cracks me up...the video is funny. And Hot Mama is good..video is good. And who can not sing along to Honkeytonk Badonkadonk...lol
(not to mention the man is just HOT)

Trace is a very nice man, my granddaughter Tatum loves the badonkadonk song and when we met him, he even listened to hear sing a chorus to him. I told him I was the grandma she slapped and he apologized for the words and said " I am sorry I didn't write the words I just sing them."

I'm pretty much a slave to the pop punk/emo/hardcore scene. Bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco. I also like 90s grunge and alternative, and classic 60s and 70s rock: Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rod Stewart, etc. I'm a little eccentric for a 20 year old.

I think Carrie Underwood has the potential to be GREAT, all she has to do is let herself free of the southern cliche that country music embeds in an artist. I mean, look at what happened to the Dixie Chicks. Honestly, the only reason everyone freaked out about the "Dubya" comment as much as they did was because the world expects a southern person to be all gung-ho for war and violence.
Anyway, I was talking about Carrie Underwood... not politics.
I'll tell you another band that I've recently gotten into, Metro Station. They really start to grow on you after awhile. I bought the album about a week ago. It's pretty decent stuff. The lyric content isn't nearly as great as other bands, but the vibe you get from the music can be pretty intoxicating.

Autumn, a favorite cd of mine is called Celtic Twilight. I think you would like it. I actually bought two copies of it so I would always have one around. We used some of the music for our wedding music. It was perfect. If you get a chance to listen to it, I think you would appreciate it. There aren't a lot of vocals at all, but it does have some here and there. It's the instrumentals that are beautiful.
