Thanks for the update, Star. And don't feel "stupid" about anything...after all, this is the first time you've done this! Better to err on the side of caution, so I think you've been handling things just perfectly. October 3rd isn't too far away!!!! This is so exciting!

Ohhh star your getting so close to the big day. Don't worry about feeling stupid. When my best friend went through her pregnancy she pratically rushed to the hospital when she felt anything happening lol. Your doing great! Can't wait to see pictures

oh another thing star...they told me my water had not broke...and it had..i went 2 days without fluid around graeson..so if you end up leaking all the time go back and tell them you think they were wrong and why! it could have severally damaged graeson but thank god it didn't.

wow, I'm sorry that happened fairy My friend's water broke and they said that they could give her antibiotics to prevent infection because she was too early to deliver but they couldn't stop the contractions no matter how hard they tried so they went ahead and delivered them 3 weeks early. I was so hoping that I wouldn't go into labor early and it doesn't look like I am, if it wasn't for the fact that I'm being induced on Monday (eeek!!! yes only 2 days away!!!) I'd probably go past 40 weeks!! He still hasn't dropped and the contractions are so irregular and weak that there is nothing really they can do except induce, when I Seen her on Wednesday she said everything seems fine the baby's heart rate was 128 and that was worrying the crap out of me but she said anything from 120-160 is normal but I don't recall his heart rate ever being so low!!! I think she also thought I wouldn't progress because things haven't "fallen" into place like they should with the baby not dropping. but she said everything looks good and she would see me Monday morning after being admitted and then around noon if he isn't here before then. I'm just really nervous and scared since he hasn't dropped and isn't really in position that something is going to go wrong but she said to keep up with the kick counts and make sure there is 10 in an hour and he will be fine!! But that doesn't ease my concern of him not coming head first because its like he's using the bottom of the uterus as a punching bag and I'm really worried that he's going to deliver shoulder first or the effacing is never going to thin out and will have to have a c-section. Whew I dunno!!! I know its long but this may be the last time I'll actually get to "post" except for something here and there. We're going to go get a video cam tomorrow and the Tenn and ole miss game is tomorrow as well, and he's working 4:30 to close tomorrow and Sunday So I'm going to try and rest as much as possible even tho that'll prolly only be while he's at work considering we're gonna go grocery shopping on Sunday to get that out of the way before he gets here Man!!! Sounds like so much to do and so little time to do it!!! Take care everyone and I'll try and be back asap. for those that are mommies know it'll prolly be at least a week, but I'll come one within a day or so of coming home to post pics but that'll prolly be about it!!

omg! induced?!? no!!!!! i was induced with Cailet.... can we say OW! induction caused the contractions to be about 10 times worse than normal labor pains. and on top of that, when I had cailet i ended up with a contraction at peak that lasted over an hour with absolutely no breaks.... course the hospital i was at had imbeciles as staff, the only pain meds they used was stadol unless you were having a c-section... needless to say i was not a very happy person.... i'm surprised that tanzi managed to even stay in the room with me then when i had tobin, i had false labors from the time i was like 7 months along... they kept telling me that unless my contractions were 5 minutes apart lasting for 60 seconds it wasn't real labor.... well, you may need to ask tanzi (again) exactly how long they were lasting, but I don't think they ever got over 45 seconds apart and they were argueing with her on the phone about her bringing me in, and yet we didn't make it to the hospital and tobin was delivered in tanzi's truck about a half hour later... go figure but you, of course, won't have this problem....... and if any of the nurses or doctors give you any grief, especially since you know what you're doing and know your body better than any of them possibly could, you just let us know and they'll have people from all over the world showing up to smack them down cuz we watch out for our friends in this guild!!!!

oh and one more thing star, tobin was sitting on my pelvis the day of my last exam, which was on a thursday, she hadn't turned yet and my dr. told me that if i didn't go into labor on my own by the next thursday, he would induce (i never made it to 40 weeks with any of my girls) but i started having contractions on sunday night, was up all night while warren and tanzi were in and out selling out their chickens and it was like 9 the next morning when tanzi called the hospital.....
both cailet and tobin were born at 37 weeks, mckinsey was 6 weeks early (by their calculations) and that was after being in the hospital for a week while they put me on morphine and magnesium to stop the labor.... and don't think it was fun either, that sucked royally, so if you're having to wait until 40 weeks, i'm sorry cuz i know how uncomfortable you are, but they can turn on you in a heartbeat and most of the time, no dr. will let you go past 40 weeks because then it starts to get really unhealthy for the baby

Well, I'm still alive!! lol I was sooo tired that day, I couldn't sleep but maybe a whole two hours sunday night. After being admitted on monday they broke my water and gave me the pitocin ( the inducing agent) and then I started the contractions, well the contractions turned into back labor and so I requested an epidural because it literally felt like someone was hitting my tailbone with a baseball bat!! about 4-5 hours after they gave me the epidural I was passed out, then all of a sudden, the Head nurse, my doctor the nurse that was taking care of me as well as an assitant come rushing in scaring the crap out of me, they said that the baby's heart rate had dropped to 91 and I was like what?!?!?! going from dead asleep to that was not fun, the next thing I know I had an oxygen mask on and they were preping me for c-section (just incase) so that scared me even more! but once they got me into the position where the baby was ok they left me alone and 2-3 hours later he was here!!! at 4:37 pm he weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long with a full head of hair and lungs that an oprah singer could use!! They released us yesterday afternoon and I never thought bringing a baby home from the hospital would require so much work! I thought we were ready before we left but when we got home home it was like khaos. I didn't get to bed until like 1:30 this morning and turned around and got up at 7 its like ughhhh I dunno if I can do the morning thing but I have no choice I'm lucky I don't have to get up in the middle of the night cuz daddy is still awake at those hours I'll get pics up within the next couple days I promise. gitta run ttyl
