I'm moving - mid Dec - to a larger house in the same city. My kids are growing fast and we need more rooms & more space. We are doing work on our current property - major work - new kitchen, bathroom, redecorating all rooms, sewing new curtains, new driveway up to the new garage we built last year, plumbing, electrical, all sorts. After it is completed we will sell it. We are rushing a bit, hoping that we don't have to pay for 2 properties for too long, as that is expensive.
So I'll be really busy from now till Xmas as I'm doing most of the painting and decorating myself, & we are getting tradespeople to come & do the rest. We haven't moved for years, & my kids has loads of stuff, so its a big deal for us, and will be taking a lot of my time.
I'll check these boards occasionally, but won't be posting much. I've managed to keep up with the LDP so far, and I'll feed my pets, but I won't be playing much until I am shifted and settled into our new place.

i understand that...i moved me and 3 kids oldest 10 this summer from a home we lived in for 7 years..me a major pack rat had more than i could ever imagine. but i am seperated so i didn't have a husband to help and that totally was hard work. as a matter of fact, i still have a ton of things in boxes i have yet to unpack..and boxes from floor to ceiling at the old house that i have left so i can have a yardsale...i hope to do that next weekend...because its time to sell the other house. so good luck with that project..i know how much work is involved.

I'm still around, just not as much. I just took a break from painting as my head is spinning from the fumes, and found the scroll repository updated, so I guess I won't be finishing the painting today, LOL!!
I haven't really thrown away anything away for years. My eldest is 10,. I thought I might have another child, so I kept a lot of toys and clothing. I've decided I don't want any more kids, so I have to either pack it and shift it, or sell some and give some to charity. I've packed 15 or so boxes and taken them to my father in-laws garage, but it hardly looks like I've even moved anything.
I've managed to paint the front entrance, every window that needed it - on the inside, a set of double internal doors (we call them French doors, they have lots of smallish panes of glass in squares & they take ages to paint), three other doors, and put new lace net curtains over most of the windows.
I won't forget this place, you've all been too good to me (!), or neopets, I'm just doing heaps.
Its spring here now, and its getting warmer, its nice to have a project (or dozen, ugh) to do.

I hope the moving goes smoothly. Don't spend to much time with the paint fumes.
