Last year the quiz said I should be Shenkuu, so I gave them a chance and we got third place last year. We're not doing so hot this year, though.

True. Sometimes it seems like they are predicting the future or something. But, honestly, this year has been a real surprise. So many teams are doing so much different than last year. Probably all the new formats and stuff.

yeah but i also think they don't want the same teams to win each year...dare i think the results could be fixed lol

Hmm... as pessimistic as I am, I wouldn't put it past them to fix the results. But, I really hope they wouldn't do that. I personally think there should be a minimum, and possibly a maximum number of people allowed on each team, to balance the game out a bit more. Wouldn't it be cool if we had like our own little mini-Altador Cup in the guild? Well, maybe that's a little too ambitious, but I still think it would be neat.

We could post stats I guess. I don't really know how we'd compete against each other.

I joined Krawk Island. So far they are great but I'm sure with my luck they will end up loosing.

Also I hate the yooyuball. I have never in my life scored, or have gotten close to it since the start of the altador cup.

I have to agree with you on that on alien! It would be fun to have are own guild altador cup! Yeah, but as boy_crazier2 said, it would be difficult. I guess it's something we might can keep thinking on ideas for in case we want to do it next year. Because it would be really fun, just to see more or less the outcome of each guild member in the cup.

Also I hate the yooyuball. I have never in my life scored, or have gotten close to it since the start of the altador cup. I love yooyouball. I've gotten up to 12-0 before, several times recently. That sounds like bragging, but there's actually just a method to it, depending on the formation each team uses by default, and the type of ball that you're using. Once you figure out the pattern, there's really nothing to it. I can usually score a good six to eight points before the first minute is even done. So, if you need any good pointers, just ask. I'll be more than glad to help. Because it's not like Shenkuu is going to get in the top three this year anyway. So I have nothing to lose. lol

Basically, you have to go to the top corner of the goal, then aim for the bottom corner. Most of the time the goalie can't stop it. There a bunch of guides out there. Also for a Faerie Yooyu, you go straight at the goalie and then click right next to him so that it will curve around and into the goal. For a Darigan Yooyu, instead of going straight to the top of the goal, I'll make a loop, go down, and then up, and then while I'm still facing up, I'll click to shoot because the ball will go at an opposite angle.
My highest score is 9-0. It depends on how fast my internet connection is going.

jellyneo.net has the best guide for yooyouball that I've seen floating around the internet. boy_crazier2's tips are exceptional, so i'll just add a few more tips.
if the opposing team is using a 1-3 formation, use a 3-1. use the bottom or top player in the forward line to go toward the ball. usually I can get there before the other team and dive around their players.
if the other team is using a 3-1, i find it is easier to use a 2-2. again, either pick the bottom or top player from the first line and head up towards the ball.
if they are using 2-2 ALWAYS use 1-3. It's best to click the middle of the screen with your mouse while the transition screen is loading and then just head as you would to the goal.
the clicking just sends your person in the middle straight to the ball.
Usually, I can score more than seven points a game using these strategies. My highest score: 12-0 against Tyrannia.
I hope this helps you guys!

I may give that guide a try. Know what I've been doing? I find that I can usually zip up to the ball and make the first goal without much of a problem. (it's from then on that I go down the drain) So....I grab the ball, head for the sidelines and just "guard" it until the time runs out. Don't win by much, but it's still a win and I don't make myself crazy trying to play the darn game.

What I do is I try to take the ball first right when it says go and I go straight towards the goal. I move my little person up and that makes the goalie go up too so then the bottom right area is free for scoreing. Now if the goalie ends up still saving the ball then I take the ball back and go around the person that is in front of the goalie! I don't know if this will help anyone, and if it makes any sense, but it's been doing great for me! I usally do the left to right direction and do the formation 1+3. I hope this helps!

Usually once you get what I call the basics down (what jellyneo has on their guide and the tips boy_crazier, moreletta, and I have said) it really starts to come down to what works best against each team. Because each team plays differently. And, then again, I've also found the higher you go up in rank, the harder the games get.
