I need help with Neopets

Hi, Im not sure what I am supposed to do next.

I feed and play with my pets...I have my shop and gallery.

I want to put them in rooms and put clothes on them.

So I went to the neohome page and applied for land inNeopia Central and this is what they said

So I did that right, right? Now i just wait? So did I purchase land to build ahome or a room? I'm so confused. I want to put my pets in rooms likeyou all have done and add clothes. Someone toldme that you can use neocash to buy clothes bu tyou can also by wearable with neopoints...where do I do this??
I found where you buy them with cash...but where do you buy them with points?

Also, what is my main goal as a neopian?

Are there any points, or some sort of neopets timeline I should follow? I just don't know what I supposed to do as of now.

As far as Secret Avatars, Stamps, Themes...stuff like that, what is this stuff and how do I go about getting them...and what is the goal in acheiving them??

And for Games and Trophies, how do you win those??

I guess iam missing the page that tells me all this stuff, if anyone would be kind enough to imput, that would be fantastic.

Are their any other acheivements i should be working towards? And if so what are they?

Once my land purchase comes through,what do I do next??

yes purchasing a neohome is a step in the right direction, but you cannot put them in rooms you can give them backgrounds which can be bought with nps or neocash. There is a place in The lost desrt in Qasala called mystical surroundings, there you can buy backgrounds. If you got to the trading post and put in backgrounds in the browse lots window it will bring up different backgrounds that people are trying to trade. As far as wearables if you find an item you like check to see if it is in the nc mall if it isn't chances are you can buy it. This is a site I use to find items when I am looking for a specific type it is called neoitems.net. You have to sign up but it doesn't cost anything and it is fairly easy to use. There is also a site called jellyneo.net that will tell you how to get avatars and it has game guides and hints. You can win trophies for different things look at anyones lookup and you will see trophies and such no real point just bragging rights. Avatars you can use on the neoboards, if yoy go to the neoboard index you will see a place called board preferences, there you will fine out how to change an avatar. When it shows you are online you are at the default avatar, if you change it it will show you what avies you have just be sure to save your prefs when done. Any other questions? You can also find stuff in the second hand shopper in neopian plaza, it is like the money tree, but you have to be quick to get anything

when i started playing neopets again around a year ago i was really confused on what to do and what is more important. well you should really go by what you like to do the most! if you like playing games, you can earn neopoints and trophies by playing them and some secret avatars.
i think what helps me the most is to make a list of what you want to accomplish so you don't get sidetracked. i tend to find a really awesome item that i really want and i blow my Neopoints on it and then i have to start over and save up. Like daisy said, neoitems.net is a great place to start finding items such as furniture, clothing, backgrounds, etc. another great website i use all the time for help is sunnyneo.com.

oh and for your neohome, i forget how long it takes to get your land but once you get it you can start building rooms and gardens on it. =)

Sorry, but I do need your help still...I now I'm being a pest!! I went to the neoitems.net and i had trouble registering my email..the confirmation email wouldn't accept, so I wrote to them..Is there anywhere else other than the mall to buy wearables?

Also, I just went to the shop wizard and I got this message from them for the first time...

good job! another place i go to look for wearables is the notice board. but dont buy anything from them cause once you find an item you like you can probably find it for cheaper using the shop wizard.

If you go to www.neoitems.net you can register for free. It's a good site with a huge listing of neopian items. If you do a search on clothing, or shirts or something wearable...like hats, it will bring up all the hats in Neopia. Then if you click on one it gives you a description and it will tell you if it is wearable. If it's not it just describes the item....kind of like it's a make believe wearable.

There are probably other sites as well but this is the one I use all the time. Play around with it and you will see how you can look at different categories of items. I find it very handy.

Some trophies that you see in user lookups are from participating in things like the current Altador Cup. There are different prizes for different levels of participation.

You can increase your pet's intelligence by "reading" books to them. Some pets don't like some books though, and will refuse them and say they are boring. Just try a different pet. Then the books disappear though, so it's a one use thing. Making them smarter doesn't actually do anything except raise their stats and make the pet more "valuable". But it's kinda fun to do. Then you can see what books your pet has read.

ok i didn't read everyones reply but gonna put things on here i think i would have liked to have know in the beginning.
first with backgrounds and wearables-
during christmas we have whats called the advent calendar up on terror mountain. from Dec first through the 31st they give you a new gift each day and most of the time nps as well. alot of wearable items were given this year...so hopefully you will get some of those for free this year as well. also there is the donation closet in the main neopian shop area i think its under the bazaar area....neopian main area is the island or land mass that looks like a hamburger. in this are somewhere is a donations shop where people are giving away wearable items if your lucky enough to click on it before someone else snaps the item up.
now neohomes are just another thing to do. you need to find what you enjoy doing best on neopets be it collecting items of a certain thing like the uni gallery you've started, neohomes which you can decorate and buy expenisve furnishings or if your a gamer trophies...or if you like challenges advatars...you might want to do them all...or you may only like certain things better than others. but you need to play games to earn spending nps. oh don't forget to collect on your freebies each month..there is a post to remind you..you get one item of food and 2000 nps each month.
i didn't get into collecting advatars til i became friends with Lindsey..she knew so much about them she got me addicted. trophys i like having but not good enough at most of the games to win them. right now the altador games are going on and if you start playing that..you might get your first throphy...not sure if its too late or not.
we all like different things and get involved in different aspects to neopets...try stuff see what you like and start a hobby like collecting or decorating..or dressing up your pets but i'd go with just one to begin with..cause most all of it can be expensive...get what you can in the clothing freebie shop....then as you build your account you can expand your hobbies on neopets

I always use www.jellyneo.net when I'm looking for wearables. You don't have to register or anything there. On the left side of the page there is a section called Departments, and under that there is a link for Item Database. Click on that. In the item name box type in the species of your pet, like uni for example. Then go to the special category drop down menu and scroll down till you find Wearable. Click on Wearable. Then click Search. It will pull up all the items that are wearable that have uni in the title in this case. Some of them are only available as part of a set that you get when you paint your pets, but there are some items that you can just buy for neopoints. For example, I bought my gnorbu a Gnorbu Wool Jacket. Hope that helps!


Hey..if you want to use some sections of Jellyneo, like the ranking generator for the Altador Cup, you do have to register. But it's free to do that just like for Neoitems.net.

also kari if you come to the boards and no one is on....there is a section on neopets called "boards" and if you click on there..they is a section thats called quest help or something like that..and most people in there are very helpful in sending you links

There is also the Money Tree. It's in Neopia Central and looks like a big green tree. Go there and just click on things that come up and if you are fast enough you will get them. Some of it is just junk...like rotten stuff from the fishing site. But the little "bags" are nps...sometimes people donate a lot, over 2000, and if you click on it and get it, you'll get those nps. I've gotten some good things there by being patient, and with your fast connection you should do ok.

After you've gotten a few things it will usually just keep saying you weren't fast enough. When that happens you're done for the day. It kinda limits you a bit that way.

Ok so yesterday I was looking in shops for my eyrie wearable..i see atop hat, I spend 4000 NP on it...andit's not even a wearable

Today i just bough 5000 NP Blue sparkling head band that was also listed under wearables and it is not a wearable

HOW IN THE HECK do you know if it is or is not a wearable BEFORE you buy it. It deosnt' say if it is or isnlt until AFTER you view it in your inventory

I looked at jellyneo...but once you find something you want you can't just click on its picture and and buy it from there..you then have to search for the item after finding it on jellyneo on neopets...Right??? Or am I missing something.. ?? So i found like 6 different wearable items on jellyneo earlier ...now once I find them on jellyneo how do I buy them withneoPOINTS? I don't want to spend neoCASH, I want to buy wearable with neo POINTS...You can't shop at the mall with POINTS right? I looked up the items I found on jellyneo with the shop wizard to no avail.
It's like pulling teeth finding wearables for NeoPOINTS. Why is it so hard??? For such a popular thing...You would think that Neopets would have wearable stores...but corerect me if I am wrong...Here is whatis happening...

There wasn't any neoCash or wearbles...there were just items like my top hat and my headband that you could purchase..and you would have them in your galleryor inventory and shops..but you couldn't WEAR them on your pet..you had to imagine and just knowyouowned these things...But then NeoCASH came out and Wearables...and tehy had to somehow make it mesh with the old way of things too...so now Neopians who buy wearables with NeoCASH are allowed by all fairness to re-sell/trade/ or put up for auction their wearables in which this makes wearbles avaiable to buy by other neopians with NeoPOINTS. However....neopians are posting the old "wearable looking items, such as my top hat and headband" for 3000 to 5000+ neopoints and lisitng them under WEARABLES with REAL WEARABLES...in which I am clicking on them and buying them as I see them mixed in with other REAL wearables that I know are legit bc I have them ( bow tie, wax lips etc...) But then to my dismay, I go to my inventory and I see that the top hat and headband are not REAL WEARABLES. I feel so cheated and it bums me out b/c I work hard for my points, then I get excited about dressingup my pets for the first time ever...then my points are gone and I am stuck with this top hat and headband...that is just for looking at, not wearing.

Man neopets sure has done a number on their site and game overall with the adding in of all this neoCash. It makes it almost impossible for newcomers to get passionate about unlessyou have a bunch of money to dump onto a card so you can dress your pets.
It's absurd.

Is there any life for a neopian who doesn't want to spend money...but still wants to endugle in all the fine things like room building, furniture, dressing pets, assecories...etc...

So say I go to Jellyneo and I find wearable I want.. now how do I find them.
