 [glow=orange,2,300][/glow]This is a bit short notice, but I decided to have a Shop Theming Competition for Halloween. All you have to do is decorate your shop for Halloween however you would like to do it. It does need to have a general overall Neopet theme, so keep that in mind. So just as long as you have something related to Neopets, anything goes! Have fun with it, and when you get it finished pm the link to BunnyRabt. She said she would help me with it. BunnyRabt will post the links on Halloween, we'll vote over the weekend and the winners will be announced on Monday, November 3rd. We'll have a first place winner, and a second place winner. As usual, no prizes will be awarded for winning. But I may share random treats that I get when I go Trick-Or-Treating with Zoralen, Ixi, and Luna.  |

There's just one more day for submissions, and so far I only have one! I'll be posting the links tomorrow night and voting will be Saturday and Sunday.
Bixabo asked me how many entries we had so far, and he was so disappointed. This is his first time to hold a competition, so please pm those links to me!

I'm so frustrated! I really liked the way my shop was before, but I wanted to the Halloween competition so I changed it. But there must have been something wrong in the coding because it's not showing up properly. So I tried to put my old layout back in the meantime until I found something else, and now it's not displaying right either! Is anyone else having trouble?  |

It looks like Neopets is having issues with this: <style/> Everytime I put in my layout, it replaces <style/> with this: -disallowed_word- Why in the world would <style/> be considered a disallowed word?! Aaarrrgh! I'm so tired of all these super picky rules regarding html coding! It's getting hard to even find good layouts because most of them don't work with all the new rules.  |

I always have trouble when I try to change anything. But usually if I read their error message and go fiddle with what they're griping about long enough I can usually get it to work.
I haven't done my shop since I thought it would kinda be a conflict of interest. But if we do this again at Christmas (hopefully I can manage to do a theme week then because I should have a little more time...Lia Sophia shuts down for two weeks then) I'm going to try it then.
So...I hope you all can find a way to get your shops finished and send in the link. There might be a really nice "random" prize awarded. ;D

Sorry bunny it sounds like fun but I can't find a code that will work it keeps telling me there's a wrong word or it not accepted. maybe i'll be able to enter next time!

Most of the time you have to make some kind of modifications. They usually give you an error message with what's wrong in red so you can go right to that section and fix it.
I haven't used a ready made lookup for so long that I haven't had to do a lot of modifications. I usually make it up as I go so it's not too bad.
I don't know why Neopets had to go and make everything so hard. I know it's for security...but it makes it hard for everyone.

I found that replacing <style> and </style> with <style //> and </style //> or <style > and </style > fixes the problem. If it's another word that is giving you a problem, try doing the same thing with it. I hate how they keep changing the rules for coding, I wish they would just change the settings all at once so we don't have to keep going back again and again to fix stuff. =/

Drat, it didn't work. Oh well, I was able to find a background that didn't have <style /> in the coding. It's not quite what I wanted, but I still like how it turned out. |

Holly cow! Neopets is driving me nuts! Good thing I hadn't down anything with my shop yet. I think I will leave it the way it is. I like it, and it could be halloween. I mean people dress up as faeries for Halloween.  |
