If you go to the Neopets avatar chat board, most people seem to think that you have to get to a kinda high fishing level and catch a giant squid or something like that. No one's gotten to a high enough level so no one's gotten the avatar yet, so I guess this theory, along with all the other guesses, is still uncomfirmed. We'll see.  |

 Level 90?!? Aaagh..that's way far off from where my pets are now. The highest of mine is just entering the 40s. Well that answers the question of the mysterious fishing avatar - no one's gotten it yet because it's probably impossible to be at level 90+ right now. Ah well, good luck to all! And at least I can keep myself entertained when I reel in new items or something, till then. |

well i am in the 40's now but i saw one of those titanic squids in a shop so someone has gotten it...wish i would get it soon lol

Wow! I wonder how the heck anyone could have already gotten it? Must go on at least twice a day..I only do underwater fishing once a day, when I do the rest of my dailies. And a handful of days of having skipped it because of not being able to get online...

Thanks for the link to that person's lookup kristin. Kinda wondered who the lucky avatar winner was. His underwater fishing petpage is pretty helpful..clears up quite a few questions. Gosh, I looked at the list of items/fish you can get upon entering certain fishing skill levels..I want those new ones!! |

well i am half way there...but i have noticed since i have reached my 40 levels that i don't catch as much or gain levels as easy or quickly

I read somewhere that the sooner you go fishing... like if you went fishing at 1 try again at maybe 2... the closer the hours (mins etc.) are together the more levels you will gain.
I think you can gain up to 2 levels at a time.

My pets are at levels 40-45. I still only go fishing once a day lol, though I suppose if I want that avy any time soon I have to manage at least twice. |
