my teacher today taught us about stereotype. it makes me feel sad. We were talking about homeless people. she first made us make a list about homeless. then we read a story about homeless and everyone opions changed about what we taught. the little boy and father were living in an airport. the little boys mother died so they were homeless the boy try so hard to save money so they can have a home again. if makes fell so sad about how we think that homeless are dirty loser or unsuccesful.
u should try to go to soup kitchens to help homeless people. ask them y they dont have a home.

there are a lot of homeless people who i feel so terrible for. the US has sooo many veterans of the Armed Forces who are homeless. a lot of decent, nice people who just had a hard time and didn't recover from it, bad luck. HOWEVER, sterotypes came from those people who aren't so nice and brought their fate upon themselves. hence the term, always a bad apple in the barrell. one mean homeless person and our whole society frowns upon the masses. and i think it's even more sad that we can't provide employment for these people to help them out of their hardships. that's where the US slacks.............but i'm done ranting. continue as you were

You're right cherry...one bad apple spoils the barrel and all that. I know there are reasons people become homeless...but there is so much government aid out there that is available to them....why aren't they taking advantage of it to get back on their feet? There was an article in our local newspaper that talked about how employers around here can't even keep enough people working. So it would seem that here in the midwest, those that want to work, can. I would imagine things are different in the large inner cities. I donate to several charities so I'm not hard hearted against my fellow man, but I do know that a percentage of the population is just lazy and unmotivated. I think I actually feel worse for the homeless animals, because they have no way to help themselves at all, and must depend on humans to take care of them and protect them. But I'm an animal lover, so of course I would think that.

homeless people dont really make me sad, they make me determined, I want to help people like that, as of right now i cant give them money or a home (i'm a 13 year old who babysits occasionally) but I CAN give them hope! i can cheer people up, even if they arent homeless. and THAT makes ME happy!

I would send everyone a kitten if I could. The kittens I've seen are so so adorable, the cutest kittens I've ever seen. I wish I could take care of them all.

I am sad. My cat cinnamon has had kidney disease for a while, about 2 years ago the vet told us to take him home and spend as much time with him as we could(read, he wouldn't last much past the weekend). It has been two years, and he is still with us, only a few days ago we took him to the vet because he was peeing everywhere, turns out he has a UTI(urinary tract infection). And some of body function levels(specifically BUN and createnine) are extremely high, up a ton from the last time he was in the vet. He is scaring me, and I am afraid that this time, he may not be so lucky, that maybe it is finally his time to pass on. Only, I don't think I can handle it. He has always been more that a cat to me, more than family. It's just.....I don't know. Sad.

I had a cat when I was in school that was very special to me, and he had that same problem. Maybe since the vet diagnosed it early it will be soon enough and the infection will go away. I hope so! I know how close you can be with pets...I have three, so I feel sad for you.
