i just want to warn everyone that twice now i have been in neopets after working on the plot and my virus scanner has found the sillydl i believe is the virus name..not sure if its within neopets or the plot itself. i didn't have any other program running so it had to be somewhere in neopets! those of you that don't have a good virus protection program may need to be aware of this

did you report this to tnt? besides, it could be on one of the other sites that we are all using too, though i've never found any viruses ... just to be on the safe side, i'm running a scan now
thanks for the heads up!

Oh that's not good, I don't think I even have any virus protection. I'd better look into that right away!

That's a funny name for a virus. And yes, I thought the same thing right off the bat! dl strikes again! j/k And kris, you should get some virus protection right away. A good one is Symantec Norton...I used the professional version. But McAffee will work too. I have mine set to scan every night at 3:30 a.m., and I do an auto-update every couple of days. Probably your ISP has some protection in place, but still...I would hate for you to lose data or crash your drive from a virus. Yikes!!!! So far I haven't had anything come up while I've been on Neopets, but I haven't been on as much as usual in the last few days. I'll keep my eyes open though.

I don't know if this relates to that at all, but today...and I've never gotten this before...some random window popped up, followed by some other pop-up windows that took forever to load and froze my screen...came up twice! I doubt they're just pop-ups..I'm sure I could tell the difference.

For the past 2 days I've had my virus protection pop up with a warning about a PUP spyware thing that was trying to attach to my system. I've removed it atleast 5 times since yesterday, and I've ran a total scan of my computer twice (didn't find anything). Everytime it has poped up I've had Neopets open on my computer...don't know if its a coincidence or not.

We have gotten a virus from some pop-up every day basically. Our scann is really good so it catches it and deletes some of it but hte rest it can't. I don't know whats going on though... I was on neopets one day when i got one and the pop up blocker said it had blocked a pop-up, but i had just ogt of a site that i know how pop-ups so it could've came from there i think. dunno though...
