Today Neopia is under a
BLIZZARD WARNING!
... in the Month of Swimming?! There have been reports of some strange events happening around Happy Valley and Terror Mountain. Maybe you should head over there to see what's going on! The only strange thing so far is that the Advent Calendar is open!  It looks like Neopets is celebrating Christmas a little early this year. No way! I went and it came up with like an ERROR page and said but it be July! I didn't get any prizes!
EDIT: I read in the Editorial that they were late in updating the page, so I was just early! Darn! All of you who got it were so lucky!

Sometimes if ye refresh the page over and over ye will get a random even if ye get thet message about it not being the month of celebrating. It does thet all year long. Sometimes ye have to refresh a LOT though. I remember TNT saying somewhere that they banned that now...refreshing over and over for a prize. If you go there and happen to get one on the spot, they said that's ok...but you can get frozen for actually going there for a prize when there aren't "supposed" to be any.  Just a heads up. |

That would be kinda bad if they froze someone new because they didn't know they shouldn't go there. How would they draw the line between who they froze and didn't freeze?

I totally agree..but in their favor, I don't see how else they can stop people from doing that. In our favor and newbies to Neopets, it really isn't quite fair. But they do have a FAQ sheet about the Advent Calendar (coming soon, I believe?) that more people should know about...I wouldn't like knowing that someone who just didn't know the rules would be punished. |

well the whole thing is why would there even be a prize to collect if its not suppose to be giving prizes? so if it were a glitch then they either should fix it or not hold it against anyone..that is very unfair. not only that but newbies such as when i started tried to go there at all times just in case they had a day of giving that was unannounced

That's true. It is a glitch on their end, so they should bear the responsibility if anyone goes there and gets a prize. If they don't want people to take advantage of it, they should fix it so it just won't happen.
