darnit, I missed it I think... i had one show up in my inventory but I think it was a random, I've had items just appearing with no random event notices at all... wonder if there's some kindof glitch and it's scaring the crud out of me

I'm still debating wheter to download the toolbar or not. The only reason I would want it is for the Tarla giveaways. I just don't know how much more I can put on my computer at this point,lol.

Thanks for posting what prizes you get guys, that way the price of the thing that you got will probably go down since so many people are getting it, which means it's a perfect time to buy it.

I have been ripped out of the toolbar now... my husband is addicted to porn and since neither firefox nor netscape has built in parental controls, I was stuck with IE (which I loathe) but I messed up with it. Since I'm so addicted to tabs, I upgraded from IE6 to 7 and the toolbar isn't yet compatible with IE 7... so no toolbar for me anymore

I'm currently using IE 7 (I upgraded to it a while before getting Tarla's Toolbar) and I got my first item yesterday, so I think it's safe to say it's working...

So am I, Lindsey. I use it here on my laptop with IE 7, and on my desktop with IE 6.1, and it works fine with both. I wonder if there is something else going on in your system.

who knows, after I restored my computer i didn't have the toolbar anymore, so I upgraded then installed the toolbar and it says that it's installed but nothing shows up .... I made sure to lower my security settings and the whole 9 yards and even talked to a live rep using their chat feature... I guess I'll try downgrading and installing it then upgrading to see if it works that way but I'm ready to strangle my husband cuz he made me lose everything I had on my computer, photoshop, all the faerie pics dl sent me and all the graphics and such I was working on for NME...

okay, looks like my computer went berserk, literally

when I hooked up johnny's computer, reconfigured everything, and installed the toolbar, it works fine (except that I missed all of the alerts for the past couple of days)

I'm going to try to buy a new computer directly like Tanzi just did instead of trying to rent to own one because these darned rent to own places won't give me the books or the installation/restore cds and I need those desparately (especially when Johnny has access)

but I'm sticking with IE - miss my greasemonkey extension for improve neo though - because IE has the build in parental controls that I can use to keep johnny from viewing certain sites by just adding them to the list of unapproved sites

at least this is working now, but it's going to take a lot of getting used to since I've been using netscape since 03 and then moved up to firefox in 05

I used to use Netscape, but made the switch to IE a few years ago. I am so used to it now that I like it. I like 7 best, but I can't get it on this computer. I'm waiting to see how Dad's upgrade to Vista goes, and if I like it I'll have Mitch do this one too. I've been trying to go through my thousands of files and get the important things saved on my external drive so he can just format this and start fresh. I hate that though. It's such a pain installing all my programs, and redoing my email, etc. But my computer hasn't been formatted for YEARS...and it's way overdue. I keep it defragged and optimized, but even so, it needs a total refresh.

That's one good thing about Art having his own computer. (Mitch is redoing it now so Art is temporarily using mine.) He can do what he wants on it and it doesn't mess up mine. He knows better than to go to the porn sites on here because I will find out. I don't really care if he looks at the stuff, but not on my system. And not on my laptop either. You can pick up so much stuff on those sites that you just don't want. Actually that's why Mitch has Art's computer now....he got some really bad virus "somewhere" that I couldn't even get removed manually. I followed all the instructions and finally said "FORGET THIS!" So it's getting wiped clean and started over. Computers are great, but they do require a lot of upkeep.

exactly, when johnny messed up his computer, no big deal to me cuz he couldn't even send it to me using the network, I had sharing disabled completely... I knew better, but it never fails he ends up having to come on mine for one reason or another and low and behold i get another virus.... you should ask tanzi about vista, she got it on her new emachine

Well I'm glad the toolbar is working for you, linds, but sorry to hear that you lost all those graphics and such. After my computer crashed months ago, I thought I lost EVERYTHING too, but luckily I called support and got it re-booted, I just lost all the extra programs I had like Photoshop too.

yeah, my photoshop is back to basics... bad thing about that was that I downloaded the trial version then paid for it online so the serial number was sent in an email that i popped over to my incredimail... hence I lost all my emails when I recovered it

I could totally strangle him at times, this isn't the first time he's done it, i've gone so far before as to have a total parental spyware on my computer which took screenshots of everything, logged all websites he went to, all messages in instant messengers, emails and everything just so I could go through later and add the list of sites he was going to into the blocked section... since he figured out how to delete the browsing history

but I've got a lot of it figured out, just lost all my personal information and only had to wait for about 12 hours for adobe to send me the serial number again, i just lost all my brushes and everything which really stinks and i had tons of new fonts installed so i could use them in my graphics, now i can't even remember half the sites i used to get them...though the biggest kicker is all those faerie images dl sent me

I was going to offer to mail you a copy of my Photoshop, but it looks like your problem is solved. I also have Frontpage if that would be of interest to you.

I'm thinking of giving my niece one of our computers and getting a new one, so if I do I'll be interested in parental control programs for her. She has three kids under 7 years old that like to play computer games. She'll definitely need something to keep it under control, just in case. You know how things can pop up online when you are doing something innocent..and then there it is. I don't want her kids to see stuff like that.

The last two prizes I've gotten from the toolbar were under 1500 nps. But still, before that was the lab piece, and the things are free so I'm not going to complain. I was just surprised since they've been worth more in the past.

I think that several of the items they're giving out are actually starting off at decent prices but because more and more people are getting the toolbar, when she does a giveaway the value becomes less and less because of deflation... I know some people think the toolbar is bogus and should be avoided and I can see their point.. what if I was to save up for months for a special item that I bought outright only to have it given away by tarla... yeah, i think i'd be pretty upset too, but it's not often tnt gives things away for free even when they're only worth 1500 np or so like you said

sorry i don't, i just got a new computer friday, so now i have the windows vista and so i have the internet explorer 7. I haven't even downloaded firefox on here because the new interent explorer comes with tabbed browsing. On my old IE I couldn't get the tool bar, but on this new version it works perfectly for me.
