If anyone is using the Neopets Toolbar and Firefox, do not upgrade your browser to 2.0. The toolbar plugin is not compatible with 2.0, though they are currently testing it out and upgrading it. I spoke with a Live Representative to even see if they were planning on upgrading. Thankfully they're just finishing it all up. I don't know if they will announce it to anyone when it is finished or if we'll just have to guess, but if you're really attached to the toolbar, you'll either have to use IE (yuck!) or keep 1.5.08 as your latest version.
Just thought you all should know.

Well, after getting the Fire Petpet Paint Brush, I got a Pink Garden Swing the day before yesterday, yesterday I got Usul Health (book) and then today I got a Cabbage Garden.... I guess some days are better than others, but between the toolbar and the council hall, anyone that's going for the pack rat avie will have it made... cuz you add those items to what you can pick up from tombola, underwater fishing and anything from the two kings, that's quite a bit in one day (not to mention all the foods from dicearoo)

Holy cow! I didn't even know you could GET things from the toolbar. I downloaded it a long time ago, but it seemed to screw up my system. The version they have now is different, but I'm not sure I want to take a chance and mess with it. A pb WOULD be nice though!

A pb WOULD be nice though! it may be because the alert button only checks every 60 minutes, so you could log in about 5 minutes after the alert or they announce the alert right after it's automatically checked so all you see is Tarla has left the building, or something like you can't get anything for free... I don't know, if you're not even getting those, then your toolbar is too old and you should update it |

You get stuff from having the toolbar?! yes, you have to follow a link in the toolbar from your alert popup and it directs you to a page where tarla gives things away, I've gotten some pretty nice stuff, there was once a starry paint brush that was given but i missed that one for the day, got the next one which was a pink ona the link is different each time which is why you cant' just bookmark it and it's not always daily either, but on a day where tarla does give stuff away she will do it randomly times usually twice |

Yeah I have the toolbar too, but it is really random. If you aren't on when they do the giveaway then you miss it. You are also only allowed to get one prize a day.

Okay, I uninstalled the old version that I wasn't using, then downloaded the new one. It shows up in my toolbar listing, but it is just shadowed letters, and when I click on it nothing happens. I already adjusted my advanced settings according to their directions, so I wonder why it isn't accessible? Any ideas?

You've installed it for IE, which version? and when you click on View Toolbars, Neopets is faded out like it's not a selection? maybe you should contact Neopets live support to get their input, they could be making changes, cuz I know that they're testing it for firefox 2.0 which currently isn't compatible, so maybe something on IE is different now too |

i have a questiion .. can only premium users get prizes from the neopets toolbar? because i want it but i cant become a premium user no, you don't have to be premium to have the toolbar, you did at first but now they've released it to everyone..... go to your inventory and follow the link there for the toolbar and download it it's compatible for internet explorer and firefox up to 1.5, it's not yet compatible for firefox 2.0 but they're working on it and i was getting prizes while my premium lapsed and fairy's not premium and she's gotten prizes for it too |

oh are there specific tiimes for the giveaways? unfortunately, no... you just have to be online whenever it alerts you that tarla is doing a giveaway and usually the alert only lasts for about 5 minutes tops yesterday there were 3 total that i noticed, today there's already been one (though I guess it was still technically yesterday by nst) and there's been times that there haven't been any for several days at a stretch... though I have noticed that they try to space them out so that everyone can get a shot at it... like one in the wee hours of the morning, one in the afternoon, and then one late at night we just never know when and I even tried to keep track of the times once posting on a blog at myspace but there needs to be several dozen people that are on at different times to keep a better log of it all |
