What the heck are they thinking... I'm telling you, they did this to me on purpose. After all that hard work I did to get the games info up on my site categorized like it's supposed to be and then what happens? TNT comes out with this whole new system for the games with tons of new categories and they've got games listed in multiple categories now... how on earth am I going to do this now..... pppffffttttt..... well, I guess yall should see what I'm talking about... check out the new and improved GAMES ARCADE |

It takes forever for it to load. I imagine that will get better but it has been really annoying tonight. It does look like we will be able to send five scores a day now though, so that is a nice feature. We can spend more time playing the games we like. But it's a bit slower to get where you want to go.
I haven't tried it from the portal yet...I should probably go see if it is accessed easier from there.
From the Portal you can go directly to the game - a lot easier than wading through the arcade. I guess that makes my 7.99 a month a bit more justifiable. But really, other than the Super Wiz I don't use the portal all that much.

I haven't tried it from the portal yet...I should probably go see if it is accessed easier from there. actually sending scores 5 times is a perk until tomorrow... it was for their birthday, after the 22nd it goes back to 3 times and I agree on load times and I'm on cable and it still took a while and I can't hardly find half the games not to mention even the pages themselves are different, though i'm sure I'm really only annoyed because it's quite sudden and completely unexpected though it certainly explains why I've been having problems with neopets lately, getting the blank pages and such whenever they're changing stuff |

And yes, the blank pages has been very annoying. I guess they have to work on thing sometimes. I suppose when we get used to it it will seem like an improvement.

It's ok I guess. It's so... different. Will take some getting used to for sure. Darn, I was hoping, when they mentioned that something was getting a big makeover yesterday in the news, that it would be Pet Central which for more than a year now has been "Under construction, coming soon..."

I'm with you kris, I'm sure after we get use to it, it will be better, but right now, it's just so very different. I feel for ya linds! I wouldn't want to be the one to have to change all of that on your site! Good luck with that!

i agree i do not liike how the games arcade looks at all the older versiion looks better if you ask me I think what I hate the most is that each game could be listed in 3 or more categories... take Gourmet Club Bowls for example. It's considered a Sports Game, a Strategy Game and an Action Game. WTF?!? And I understand that the buttons at the top are color coded to represent the difficulty, but the ratings feature they've added is bogus.... a game could be extremely hard for one person and extremely easy for another. As a great example to this one... Sutek's Tomb used to be a major pain in the rear end for me... though it wasn't because the game was hard per se, it was because of my connection speed... the game took forever to load (I was on dialup in 04) and then it bogged down after every move which made it impossible for me to even unlock the avatar. I remember that I was tickled to death when I went to Tanzi's one day and scored like 3500, unlocked the avatar and beat my all-time high score for that game. I was still on dialup in 05 but it was a different isp and I was getting faster connections so I was able to start gaining 1000 np each play. On dsl there really wasn't much of a difference in game play, but load time was almost instantaneous. Now that I'm on cable, OMG! Major difference on everything. But that just goes to show that it may not be the game but your own hardware or software that is creating issues and this isn't taken into consideration which could mean that a game that is one of the easiest ever based on its concept and game play could be rated as one of the hardest on the site |

Ratings are all subjective anyway. But I guess they wanted to have some way of showing difficulty. Although like you say, so much depends on one's connection speed.
I have put games in my favorites, which I never bothered doing before, mainly because it's a major pain in the patoot to have to search for each one, and then if it isn't listed you have to click on "more" and then wait for that to load. The whole thing loads slower than any other site in Neopia, but maybe that's because they are still tweaking it or something.
The other format was simpler, but this one is prettier.

I mean look at chat rooms, only so many members are allowed to be in one and here's a page that uses both and how many different users are there? I've almost got the code down pat to put it on my site (but I'll have to change the targets to the links) yes it's very pretty and I love that it uses ajax but I think tnt bit off more than they could chew by using it on such a popular page and then on so many, cuz every single game is also using it |
