I was trying to find where another thread would be started about this but couldn't find one nor could I find it under any of the help pages etc. When posting a link and instead of it showing up the web address there would be a word or words there, how do you do that? ex instead of it showing up as [ftp]http://dlfreak.proboards32.com/index.cgi[/ftp] someone would say here and it would be a link instead of the actual address.

Use the URL tags (the little earth icon) The word you want linked goes between the tags and after the URL in the first tag put an equal sign and then the URL (no spaces) Like this: URL=http://dlfreak.proboards32.com Don't forget to add the brackets on that and don't forget the closing brackets which you don't need to modify.

I always do it like this:
[ url= your link] your words[/ url]
I didn't quite get what dl was saying. Hope it helps star.

No problem becky I figured I'd try it out on my siggy too for the guild bookshop and my shop for donations so it didn't looked so cluttered and it works there too
