Neoquest and Neoquest II

On NQ, I am wondering why I am not finding the items that the game characters are looking for in order to give me special items. For example they say to explore the cave to find these things. Well, I have been through it 3x, the last time I mapped every inch of it, I was even in hunt mode, and nothing! And I am like level 12 now or something, yet cannot find these basic things. Is it a game glitch or what? Also there was that blocked wall, and I couldn't figure out how to get through it.

On NQII, I am wondering if I am supposed to be able to break the crates and barrels in the gold mine in the cave.

just keep trying when you battle a creature they might give you something

for nq2 i dont need to break the crates
