i just started fishing with uni today, so she's still level 1, but daveyboy and puffofsilverclouds are level 2 and spinx is level 4 now
plus i have a complete set of rotten boots and rotten sandals... lol

Cool, level 4. None of my pets have reached level 4 yet because the day after they released the game, I went to go fishing with my pets, and it wouldn't let any of them fish, and I even tried later that day. I'm sure it had been 12 hours since I fished the day before...
Lol rotten boots and rotten sandals..I don't really have too many of those..a lot of junky stuff though, just a variety. Also some different kinds of fish...

not a single fish here, a piece of rotten driftwood, green kelp, the bag of broken neopoints, and then nothing but rotten boots, rotten sandals, and rotten shoes... |

My highest pet is Level 3 and I've gotten mostly worthless stuff so far....most of what other people have posted. I read somewhere (one of those 'crazy about neopets' sites) that your pet had to be at least level 6 and catch a large giant squid to get the avie. But I only saw that in one place, so I'm not sure how true it is yet.

i am not sure now how they figure when you can and can't fish lol. i waited 12 hours yesterday and last night they would only let me fish once...and this afternoon when i got on i couldn''t fish until tonight and still wouldn't let a couple of mine fish! they tell me to have patience!!! if i had patience i would be back as much as i do! i want that avie grrrr lol!

-2 mossy rocks
-rotten left shoe
-rotten right shoe
I guess two of my pets still increased to level 3 at least...

I heard the same thing, mdith. I've heard your pet needs to catch a giant squid, and in order to do that it needs to be level 6...I think the squid part is true, though, because if you view the avatar's url, it has the word 'squid' in it. I think that's what the scary eyeball part is lol.

I did pretty well today...I got a breadfish, a rockfish, and a mossy rock. I think all of my pets are level 3 now.

i have 3 at level 4 now and uni is still trailing at 3, but she was late getting started, plus today i got a rockfish, a tin can, and 2 rotten left shoes, got a full collection of them going now  |

Wow, your pet is on level 6, fairy? Congrats! Lately all I've been getting is junk. I want the fish! Woohoo, I just went fishing and the first pet I tried today got a Breadfish - a fish I've never caught before. As for my pets levels, three of them are at level 4, while one is at level 5. |

well, one consolation, i've gotten several items now that will work for avatars... like the bread fish and the bag of broken neopoints, too bad the broken fishing pole isn't a broken toy though... |

Can you actually take the broken bag of neopoints to the toy repair shop and turn it into a bag of neopoints? I tried it and clicked the button, but it kept saying the shopkeeper broke out into a fit of coughing, and there was this 'Pat him on the back' button that I kept clicking, but he kept coughing..and he didn't take any of my np for the repair, and my item is still broken lol. So I don't think it works. It would've been cool to have a bag of neopoints toy though. |
