Ok, I'm pretty sure that everyone knows about the CIA - Centralized Intelligence Agency. Well, I want to create the Neopian Intelligence Agency which is as much information about neopets as I can muster - and I mean everything. Nothing's too big or too small to cover. The centralized theme would be knowledge; whether regarding games, avatars, battledome, or just neopets in general.
Here's where I'm running into issues: I thought I could name it Neo Knowledge - your neopian intelligence agency but want input on that or suggestions for something different
I would also like to have some ideas on where to start.... I've already got a lot of info from NME but was wanting to know what everyone wants - I could also use a little help with resources, research, and possibly submissions if it's something that you would like to have included
I'll be getting this new domain probably within the week - for the time being I'm setting it all up on a sub-domain and working on the configuration of everything, but I don't have any of it started yet - just wanted ideas... figured it would be nice as a New Years Resolution and we have some very intelligent people here in the guild that would make great contributors

well, there's no way to get a domain for neo-knowledge or tnia or nia but tncia.com is available... which would stand for The Neopian Centralized (or Central) Intelligence Agency...

That sounds like a huge undertaking, but I have no doubt you are up to the challenge.
When things slow down around here after the holidays I will try to give you some input. After four years I must know some little tricks...or maybe not....lol

well, the good thing is that the majority of everything I can start off with just what's on Neopets and expand that way as people send me more stuff.... it's pretty frustrating when someone wants to know something and then I have to try to figure it ALL out on my own when I know there are so many people that know how it's done a whole lot better than I do.... but I've already got tons from NME - but I've always been more into the history of neopets than anything else... I like seeing how things once were compared to now when everyone else seems to focus on games and avatars and don't have much else to contribute - cuz that's info they can basically just take off other sites without any real work you know... I try to make it as informative as possible

i would love to see you add in your battledome section how to beat certain contenders...for like the defenders of neopia section...i have had lots of people willing to send me guides but never kept them....and i am constantly searching for how to beat the next challenger..the other areas you questioned us about would be great but thats such a huge area to cover! it would be a life time of work!

well, I've got some of it finished, at least the majority of my info on NME has been transfered over (minus the games, that needs some tweaking) but I did add some info for contests which will be edited later with tips and tricks from people so right now it's just the bare basics... but if anyone wants to see how it looks and help me test out some of the features, here's the link (for the time being, I don't plan on getting an actual domain for quite a while, want to wait until it's closer to launch for that) tncia.byethost11.comalso, I would appreciate some registrations so I can make sure that everything's working as it should  |

I registered, but then when it wanted me to sign in it kept telling me incorrect password. So...I clicked on the link to have the password sent to my email..but so far, no email.

Ok, got the registration fixed - had 2 different settings which caused problems... you can now register and yours didn't take at all susan, so feel free to start all over again
I've added some more features and such since I want to have everything from the get-go instead of having to add it later as I go along

I know you've beaten several of the challengers Lisa, I have too, but why don't you let me know what tips you used and what your pet stats were and I'll add that stuff too... found a bunch of info on how to beat certain challengers, but I can't remember everything that I used or what my stats were when I did it, hoping that I can include any tips and tricks from users to include with everything to give people more choices depending on their situations

well i had someone tell me what to use to beat that snotty dude...and its been way too long to remember what all was involved but i do remember it was two muffins and expensive ones at that! the last challengers i beat i think were the meercha brothers or something to that effect and i just used what i had against them i did add the bone specter because i had read somewhere to use it with downsize....other than that i was just goofing around the time i wasn't really trying and beat them but i will say....my stats have increased a bunch thanks to the lab ray being kind to me....here are my stats
Health: 0 / 203
Mood: joyful
Hunger: fine
Strength: ULTIMATE (176)
Defence: heavy
Move: AWESOME (62)
Intelligence: bright
i typically always use two scarab rings and a leaf shield unless i can find someone who has set weapons that prove useful on a certain opponent. also the abilities sink, borrow and i can't think of the other are tremendously useful!!!!

ok, I found a bunch of guides on how to beat certain don challengers.... I added a couple of articles to the battledome section already - strength boosts and species modifiers
I'm trying to get more info on how exactly to beat them - because I'm like you, can't remember my stats or weapons when beating meuka
so any tips that anyone has is greatly appreciated since I haven't gotten any further than beating the brain tree on don I and not sure where I'm at on don II

well don 2 has only the four challengers at this moment...i have made it up to the ghostkerchief i think is the name in don juan lol....glad your adding this new info cause i hate having to look all over for information...your site will be a one stop shop deal!

well one way to do it is go to the batlledome section of the boards on neopets...i have had people answer my questions..and these guys are battledomers...maybe you can hook up with a few that are knowledgeable and get info from them....you might have to find some that have messengers so that you can chat about that without problems as far as links and such go...

have a quick question: which theme do you all like best; the made your web theme that's green and is on the home page or the other red theme that's on my portal page? Personally, I'm partial to the portal page, but I like the layout better with what I'm going for.... but I don't look forward to creating the banners and logos for it (since photoshop isn't compatible with windows vista home basic and I don't know squat about photoshop elements which is)nevermind, went with the red theme for everything since it's more with what I'm going for... not to mention I'm impatient and I can't stand waiting around for everyone to check it out and post their opinions |
