i was thinking, what if someone went through and added all the neopian holidays/special days to the calendar that way each month we could see what was coming up and on that particular day it would also be on the main page letting us know... i don't know how many times i have to run back to the calendar on neopets cuz i think that a pet day or something is coming up but then i figure out that either there's nothing or it was the wrong one

I think that is an awesome idea! There have been so many times when I have done the same thing! I think it would pretty easy to add these dates too.

Good suggestion...and like today's half price day..I just about forgot until now. It would be nice to have a reminder on the guild calendar so that we could keep it in mind, along with other dates.

well, i think it's only fair that I do it as it was my suggestion  unless someone else is more interested.... but i know how busy everyone is, so i can take time out tomorrow to work on it if that's alright |

i just realized something, these items will need to be entered into the calendar every single year unless you configure the Holidays for the Boards dl! I don't mind doing this right now, but believe me, it will get old quick having to do it every year... also, how do you modify an entry afterwards? I mean, I know you can, but I can't, as I do not have that option. I wanted to add more information for specific days, like give the link for free training in each pet day and the avie or sidebar info for the other character days... if anyone wants to see an example, check out Sloth Appreciation Day January 14, I basically reminded everyone of the annual things you need to do on those specific days hope it helps, but like I said, I forgot to do it on some of them and I would like to add it but i can't |

Ok, I fixed it so that council members have full access to the calendar, i thought they already did  What do you mean enable Holiday mode? |

i can't remember if it was available on proboards or not, but on my smf forums i can edit the list of holidays to be included in the forums, i added all of the special days as holidays that way it will automatically show them every year with only that one entry.... like i said i'm not sure how or even if you can do it.... if you can't, we'll have to add each special day every year

it is on there, but it doesn't list your name, when you go to that page of the calendar, click on the birthday links and your name is listed there
