Finding a theme week.

I like the Harvest idea but that might be a little too similar to Halloween... theme weeks dont have to correspond to the year... we could do other themes too like I mean one theme week we did was Illusen Vs. Jhudora... it could be any neopets related theme...

Well, our last theme week was at the end of July.

It's mid-September now, so perhaps it's not too soon to begin planning a harvest/pumpkin week to happen at the beginning of October.

We all talk a lot about theme weeks -- let's DO one!

What kind of help do you need, DL, to get this rocking?

OHHH we could switch it up and do a themed MONTH, but with every week being something different but tied in with one bigger theme!!! (i hope that makes sense) and we could give away the kinda big prizes at the end of each week (corresponding to that week) and then one GIANORMOUS prize at the end of the month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

we could have each set of ranks do one week of theming. (if it would work out that way). like light breezes and whirlwinds do one week, etc. i just think something huge would interact the guild that much more. just an idea tho.

That's a good idea, cherry! Get a team together to organize things -- kind of like the way the newsletter is coming together behind the scenes. That way DL doesn't have to do all the work. He can be our Artist-in-Residence for theme weeks!

But you make a good point, DL. All of these giveaways are possible only through the generosity of guild members. So when we offer ideas -- especially expensive ones -- we need to remember that we also need ideas on how to raise NPs to pay for them.

How about a guild version of Homecoming? (FYI, for those outside the USA, homecoming is a football-related celebration with a king, queen, court, and big party.)

For the guild, we could twist it and do a Neohomecoming celebration -- and have activities centered around neohomes (showcases, etc), and giveaways of things you'd find in a home (which can be nearly anything, including food and stuff -- like barbed wire bits! -- that you'd find in a junk drawer).

haha yea i like that idea too.....and DL is made of money...DUH!!! but that was just me trying to spark some ideas/creativity. tho if we could have like some massive fundraisers, it would awesome if we could pull something like that off without having to depend on DL to fund the whole (or a majority) of the prizes.
