Twas a warm night before new years and all through the guild; everything was merry even...

though there seemed to be some sort of mischief afoot. It was as if someone was sneaking around the castle, removing all of the decorations! The guardians had enlisted the help of all the Christmas Unis in the forest to hang evergreen wreaths adorned with holly in all the castle windows. It was quite a sight to see the beautiful Unis hanging the greens with the help of their magical horns. But no sooner did they turn their backs on their handiwork, than it disappeared with a POOF! Soon all the decorations were gone, and everyone was sad indeed. All their work was for naught, and the castle wasn’t ready for the New Year’s party, and the time for it was coming very quickly!
“We must go and tell the Queen that we have failed in our task because some evil magic has undone our every effort!” cried Bixabo. “I’m not looking forward to disappointing her after she had such faith in us to do a good job of decorating.”
Although Bixabo wasn’t a Christmas Uni, he was one of the Guardian’s favorites, so he was asked to lead the decorating committee. Therefore it fell to him to deliver the bad news. Slowly he began to amble toward the Queen’s chamber’s, and all of the Christmas Unis fell into step behind him. Just as he reached the door of Queen Alexia’s chambers, and reached for the golden handle to open it, the door swung open wide. There stood all the guardians in their beautiful holiday dresses. All the Unis stared in awe at their finery.
Bixabo began to slowly tell the Faeries of the awful dilemma of the missing decorations. Soon everyone was frowning and talking among themselves, trying to determine the answer to the problem. All of a sudden from the great hall came the sound of high pitched laughter and singing! All the Guardians, followed by the Unis, rushed toward the great hall to see what was happening.
To their surprise, the hall was filled to the brim with happy, singing Candychans! They were just putting the finishing touches on the most beautifully decorated tree that anyone had ever seen! It towered above everything, and was covered with glittering lights and shining stars. All of the missing greenery was back into place, and looked very festive. The leader of the Candychans bowed deeply before the Guardians, and the Christmas Unis, and said, “On behalf of all the Candychans in the kingdom, we would like to present you with these beautiful decorations! The only way we could make our presentation so outstanding, was to let you think all the greens had disappeared! This way the great hall would be decorated all at once, and the sheer enormity of all the greens and the huge tree would be so thrilling that it would be worth the wait! We hope you all will forgive our trickery, and join us in having hot chocolate and gingerbread cookies!”<br>
And that is just what they did.

Dr. Sloth.Sloth silently broke into the faerie guardians' castle on New Years Eve. He tiptoed around and was ready to stuff valuable items into his sack. Sloth was about to leave the castle, satisfied with what he had stolen, when Alexia, hearing a crash, went downstairs. Dr. Sloth had bumped into a statue and fallen over. He tried to hurry out the door. Not so fast! Alexia quickly drew up her arms and made a hand motion. Dr. Sloth was frozen in his tracks. Alexia walked over. She noticed the bulging sack that he had and peered into it. Ah, taking our valuables, I see. She took the sack from him and snapped her fingers. Everything had been replaced to its rightful location. She unfroze Sloth and chanted a spell. The two appeared in the dungeon, Sloth locked up and Alexia keeping watch. Sloth moped around in his cell for a while. He decided that he had to get out of this prison. He quarreled with Alexia until they reached a decison.It was New Years and all the guardians were having a merry time. Sloth was prancing around, trying his best to be jolly. Alexia explained what had occurred the night before and all the guardians laughed when they heard the deal. If Sloth apologised and promised a certain New Years resolution, he would be free. What was his resolution, you ask? Dr. Sloth was to do only good deeds and create joy wherever he went, for the whole year.

And crackled so bright

For Audra had warmed

And so kept away
The dark of the night
Aviena has flown
Laughing with glee
To place a gold star
At the top of the tree
Fauna has crafted
Wreaths of evergreen
And upon a purple chair
Sat Alexia, the Queen
Alexia smiled
And said with delight,
