strange is the fact that without the picture the colors work fine

Try following dl's instructions on the theme page. I know that others have had that same problem, and the way he says to do it seems to fix it. I use Adobe Photoshop so I am not that versed in paint. You might check the website though, and see what those instructions say.

I had the same problem as fairy_tale_girl, but when you save it under a different format ( I forget which one) the colour problem goes away.
Also, are you allowed to colour the picture off the computor?

Yes, you can color it with whatever medium you like, scan it, and then send the file to dl. I've done it both ways, and both methods have their good points. It's just whatever you prefer!

I wish I could help ya, fairy, but I don't use Paint all that much. I have this other art/paint program that I use a lot. I'm guessing the colors don't turn out right because the image itself is in black and white..maybe that has something to do with it. Like when you paste it into Paint, it automatically changes it to grey scale or something.

The reason is because the image is a .gif which compresses the image and supresses colors to make file sizes smaller. The reason you need to copy the image and paste it in PAINT is so that the image is no longer in your computer's "eye" as a compressed image. The entire process could be eliminated if I uploaded the actual bitmap image but the filesize is much too large which is why I need to compress it down to make it downloadable.

i did finally get it to work. after doing the control a and control c thingy about 4 times it did what it was supose to....
