"Oh this can't be happening," exclaims Malla, "I'm not ready at all for this theme week... what will I tell Alexia?!"
Malla paces back and forth wondering how she'll get all the decorations up in time for the theme week. Alexia walks in but before she can say anything Malla interrupts--
"Alexia! How good to see you, I was just going to come talk to you about the theme week!"

“That’s good,” said Alexia, “Because there are a couple of things I would like to run by you for this year’s Halloween Extravaganza. Have you started working on it yet?”
Malla’s face turned red and she began to stammer, “Um…well….I…er…” Her voice kinda faded away and she cast her eyes downward and waited for Alexia to begin scolding her.
“Oh, I can see that you haven’t gotten anything together yet, which is just as well. I have decided that this year the decorations for the Extravaganza will be turned over to all of the Halloween pets belonging to the SLCG members. They came to me asking what they could do, and I thought this might be a welcome change from the usual Halloween preparations. I will tell them that they have permission to plan the Extravaganza, and you won’t have to bother your pretty little head about it at all.”
Even though Alexia DID have an alternate plan in mind, Malla could tell by the way Alexia swirled her gown and swept away that she was not happy with Malla. Malla walked off through the castle looking very downtrodden indeed.
The day of the Halloween Extravaganza arrived. There was a crisp chill in the air, and the smell of caramel apples and pumpkin cookies was enough to make your mouth water! The Halloween pets, with the help of their petpets, had decorated the entire castle in orange and black. Everywhere you looked there were pumpkins, ghosts, witches and goblins! There was even a huge paper mache witch riding her broom, hanging from the enormous chandelier in the center of the hall. Everyone was busily bobbing for apples and laughing at the spooky music that eerily filled the room. Everyone except Malla. She was sitting off in a corner by herself, not even in costume, looking very sour indeed.
Alexia strode up to her and said, “Malla, you may as well get over being jealous of the beautiful decorations and have some fun. Maybe this will teach you that if you want to have the glory, you have to do the work.”
Malla said in a meek little voice, “Yes ma’am, your are right. Next year I will be prepared.”
Malla slipped into her costume and went off to join the extravaganza, vowing to take her responsibilities more seriously from now on.

"Alexia, I haven't had the time to coordinate an entire theme week's decorations. I was hoping you would take it off my hands."
"Malla, what will the other guardians think? You've got responsibilities too," replied Alexia. "Wait, what are you doing??? Oh no!"
Malla extended an arm toward Alexia and...tickled her silly! Alexia tried to restrain from laughing. Before long, she gave in.
"Ok! The other guardians and I will handle it. Just don't depend on this next time."
Malla flashed a smile, sneaky or just cheerful - Alexia couldn't tell, and pranced off. Alexia and the guardians organized the theme week, and before they knew it was the last day, the big celebration. Malla, curiously, had not arrived. She had been elusive all week. Unexpectedly, the lights dimmed and out of no where came spooky music. Then the lights jumped back on and Malla was standing up front. Brilliant orange and black decorations hung on the walls and candy was in masses on the front table. Malla had fooled everybody and organized an even bigger surprise celebration all on her own. And so the festivities began! The gaurdians, guild members, and their pets enjoyed an evening of dancing, chatting, and, of course, candy.
