A beautiful white Uni sat on a bluff looking up at a rainbow in the skies of Neopia. She thought to herself: 'if only I could be the color of a rainbow. I wish I could just run through that rainbow and maybe see if I would change colors...
She decided to gather the necessary tools for flying through a rainbow. (This proved to be a rather difficult task, as she had never before considered jumping through an array of colored light.) The first stop she reached was the groomer's. "If I shall be soaring through the air, I'll need to look nice for the Neopians watching from below." Things did not go as expected. The curt groomer scolded the Uni for being vain. "Come back to me when you need your hooves polished, not your ego!" Dismayed, the Uni set off to her next destination. Pushing open the door of the Neopian Pharmacy, she glanced nervously around. She caught sight of a sales-Gelert arranging NeoMites Injections. Her thinking was that she would need to be prepared in case of injury. "Excuse me, do you sell First Aid Kits and Parachutes?" The Uni, being fairly young, was unaware that the latter was not sold in the Pharmacy, much less Neopia. "Parachutes, huh? Yeah, sure. Go look for them yourself, though." The Uni took this as a prompt to scan the store, not catching the sarcasm dripping from the Gelert's voice. At one point the Gelert saw her thumbing through a box of Magic Smelly Socks and, taking it as a sign of potential theft, kicked the Uni out on her tail.
She stopped outside the door of the Neopian Airlines as her last try. Inside, she asked, "When is the next flight to the rainbow?" The Aisha behind the counter stared at her. "If you're playing clever with me, I have no time for you." Already used to receiving negative comments, the Uni brushed off the remark. "I'm serious. And please hurry, before the rainbow disappears again!" Picking up on the genuine expression on the Uni's face, the Aisha softened and said, "Sorry to burst your bubble, but we don't have any trips scheduled for the rainbow..but I'll be sure to talk to the manager about that." She suppressed a chuckle. "However, there is a nifty Rainbow Pool across the street. Why don't you check it out?" Upon arrival at the Rainbow Pool, the Uni was astounded. Looking around, she saw young Bruces and aged Grundos splashing in the sparkling waters of the Pool. To her left, a handful of Usuls had towels wrapped around themselves and were just leaving the area with their newly painted Starry fur. Without waiting a moment longer, the Uni flew a few feet and landed in the Pool. When she got out, she was Rainbow from horn to hoof.
