Spring Tea Party Theme Week Brainstorm

So our next theme week is a SPRING TEA PARTY and it starts on Wednesday, February 14th and will end February 28th! So what do you guys think would be some fun ideas for activities besides the regular competitions we do every time?

I got a great idea for gifts but other then that i have nothing so far...If I come up with some ideas I will let ya know

My mind is a bit dull this morning, but I did come up with one idea. We could have a contest to design a teacup. It should have some type of Neopet theme, and can be simple or ornate and it could be done with an online program, or drawn and scanned for those who don't like to use online painting. We could have that instead of (or in addition to) a coloring contest.

How about creating a Tea Party for the guardians using all the different teas, scones, and biscuits that exist on Neopets? Kinda like the "make a four-course feast for the guardians" thing we did a few months ago that wasn't connected to a theme week.

That sounds fun!! and really creative and I just went to a tea party last saturday too! What about a gardening type of thing? that's what i was reminded of when i saw your picture

Maybe one of the requirements is you have to chose four different plants/flowers to make center peices with for the tea party?

^No, we did a four course feast before. For the theme week I think a tea party would be a nice idea. There is a whole tea/coffee store and all kinds of cakes and pastries to chose from. Plus I think the addition of having to make a center piece with at least four different flowers/plants would be neat too.

its funny when i read the first post i thought of the same idea..the menu thing we did. i loved that...also another fun activity might be a game like horseshoes..not sure if you can do it but ...have coordinations and the person who comes closest to the pole wins...or pin the tail on the shoryu...same idea with the coords....or maybe a daily game challenge...pick a game of the day on neopets..send in your score to you and the winner of each days game gets a prize...not sure if you can prove your score..

That sounds like a really great idea! I'm with bunny, my brain's too dull right now to come up with any idea's myself, but i love the idea of the guardians having a tea party!

are we going to have teas/coffees, fancy drinks, cakes, pastries and crumpets for each gaurdian???

Another activity/sort of like the theme week grand prize drawing meets Advent Calendar from last theme weekcould be...guess which flower pot the prize is under...Perhaps one per day, and the prizes don't have to be extravagant. Around the same price range as the winter theme week. If you choose the correct flower pot (from, say, 3 or 4 pots), you get a prize.

Or it could just as easily be done with images of upside-down teacups.

And it could be done with an animation showing the pots/cups being switched around...but that would be *tons* of work.

All these ideas sound great, I am so excited.

Oh my mom's garden club always does a plant and cookie exchange at their club meetings. Maybe we could do something like that, each member contributing a plant and cookie from neopets and then exchanging them with other. They usually assign everyone a number and then everyone picks a number (unless they pick their own number).

Or we could be a silent auction kind of thing, people contribute plants and cookies and give hints on what it is. Then people submit their bids anonmously (sp?) and the highest bidder wins.

Anyway just a couple of ideas.

I think a good way to make this Neo-legal is to create a modest prize of flowers and cookies using guild funds and then through-out the theme week ask members to donate any flowers and or cookies that they want. (It's not a drive so we're not looking for a whole lot) Then at the end, one person will be chosen randomly to get them all!

I really like the idea, what do you guys think?

Maybe we can have people donate the items, bid on them, and then donate all the money made to the guild fund or something like that.

Well I wasn't thinking a drive. In fact donating wasn't really even a major part of what I had in mind. Maybe instead of one big massive theme week prize like we do, we can do the Flowers and Cookies giveaway. I'll have a selection of flowers and cookies and during the theme week we'll ask people to donate to add to the "pot" and then at the end of the theme week one person gets them all!

What if we had a Neogarden competition? For those who do have Neohome this could be a good way to show off your favorite Neogarden that you have. Or if not a competition just have it apart of the theme week that the guild members show off there green thumb!

I'm in favor of the Flowers & Cookies giveaway, that'll be oodles of fun.

And the Neogarden contest sounds promising - yikes! I better get to work on my garden, then. So please announce if you finalize it because I'll be sure to enter.
