I wrote a poem and I don't know what to call it. Here it is. The tree that never had to fight For sun or sky or air or light It lived out in the open plain And always got its share of rain Never became a forest king But lived and died a scrubby thing Good timber does not grow in ease The stronger wind, the tougher trees
Just so you know it isn't about trees. It is about life and comparing my rough life to that of the people around me. Their lives always seem so easy, but I have discovered that it has made me a better person. I have gone through more than most people twice my age, but I had grown and matured from it.

how about endurance? unless you'd rather have a title that implies some sort of underlying meaning, like what your take is on 'the tree' being forced to endure adversity. for example, if you wanted to imply that such a life is a proud one, you could call it, well, pride...which, if you gave it that title, would imply a dual meaning of 'self-respect' and 'arrogance'...which would make it sound as if you were saying 'the tree' is rather haughty about the fact that it has survived through difficulty but that it has a right to be so. or maybe you don't want to analyze it that much...
