"IT" married couple JESSICA SIMPSON and hubby NICK LACHEY are belting out one of Disney's most beloved ballads, "A Whole New World," for the DVD release of the OscarĀ® winning movie 'Aladdin.'
Tonight on ET, we're with the sexy superstar couple as they record the romantic song!
"We were excited to work with each other," Jessica says. "People think we work together all the time and we really don't. So to be in the studio together and share that is pretty amazing."
From the sounds of it, the pretty pair loves singing side by side. "She's got an amazingly strong voice," Nick says. "And I just try and sneak in there whenever I can."
"People have yet to hear him sing a song in such a powerful range as this song," Jessica says, returning the compliment.
'Aladdin' blew audiences away when it was released in theaters in 1992 and now, after 10 years of being unavailable, returns to stores on October 5. The two-disc set features deleted scenes, never-before-seen 'Aladdin' movie secrets and the behind-the-scenes footage of the recording of Nick and Jessica's "A Whole New World, " which was originally performed by PEABO BRYSON and REGINA BELLE.
"I was a huge fan of the original song," Jessica says. But reveals, "It was really important for us to make 'A Whole New World' ours ... to put our flare into what we think the song should be for us."
"We're just honored to cover it," Nick says. "Hopefully we'll do it justice the second time around."
The talented twosome says the tune has a wonderful meaning. "The song has such a universal message," Nick says. "And people can relate to it."
"The lyrics are all about love," Jessica says. "And everybody wants to hear about love."

I saw the video today on the Disney channel and everyone seems to be talking about it.... Some people argue she can't sing but I disagree... while I don't like her song "Angels" (it seems like she's over singing it) I think she has an amazing voice. I don't particularly think she's very pretty but that's aside from the fact that I do think she is a talented singer.
I didn't hear the new song completely but it sounded good from the snippets I heard!
What do you think about the song and what do you think about her singing abilities?
