Hi!!! Just wanted to introduce myself... I am Angela, I collect petpets and sand, I restock my shop (although lately I've been kinda broke) and I'm trying to make enough np to afford some of the finer things in Neopia. I didn't understand the whole "guild" concept until I found this guild!!! How long will it take before my rank starts going up? Thanks!

welcome to the guild angela! i know you're just going to love it here.... if there's anything that i can do to make you feel more welcome or more comfortable, feel free to let me know
also, as to your ranks, you get promoted basically depending on your activity... just jump right into the conversations and remain helpful to other members and you'll see those promotions just come rolling in
anyway, don't be a stranger!

If you haven't already done so, please visit the guild website and read through the guild rules. It will help you get a good understanding of how things are run. The website is loaded with fun stuff too! When you have time, explore the castle. dl has made so many lovely rooms. You're sure to love it!

Well, I'm a little miffed, because I applied for two jobs (I'm kinda poor and need the NP) and I also figured that doing a job would definitely be considered "being active". I've been told I can't get a job until I'm more active... I'm on the guild site and message boards every day now, more than I'm at neopets.com. This upsets me.

well, angela, part of that is that you just joined, there's kindof a probationary period to see if you're going to stick with it, not to mention that dl is rather busy right now and it might take him a little bit to go over it, when i first joined this guild i did the same thing.... i jumped right in, applied for jobs and all... as soon as i had proven that i was going to be here and continue with my activity i was granted the jobs, so just hang in there, we're right in the middle of a guild plot too, which takes a lot of time and concentration on dl's part as he does all the graphics and updates the sites
don't worry, he's not ignoring you and neither are we, just be patient! (and i hate saying that as much as you probably hate hearing it, but it's the truth!)

yeah lindsey is correct he does so much around here on the guild and is also a college student so he is a pretty busy man...not to mention keeping up with his disney lifestyle lol...hes a great guild leader though and is very good to the members here as you will see.

Like everyone says, just be patient and keep on being active and your rank will go up before you know it! Everyone starts at the bottom, so we've all been there. If you keep on being a good member your rank will definitely go up. |
