Word is that Bryan Singer, director of the first two X-Men Movies (see dlfreak.proboards32.com/index.cgi?board=moviesandtelevision&action=display&thread=1097569014) has settled on an actor to play the Man of Steel. The actor's name is Brandon James Routh, he's 25, and he stands at six feet and two inches. He was on the soap opera "One Life to Live" for a year. He has also made special appearances on "Will and Grace", "Gilmore Girls", "Cold Case". and in a Christina Aguilera video. He has a small role in the upcoming film "Deadly", starring Laura Prepon. I've never seen any of this actor's work so I don't know if he's right for this role. He doesn't really like like Superman, but appearances can be deceiving. |

Lol, I know what you mean dl. If Nick Cage was going to be superman in the new superman movie there's no way i would go see it. I meah he is not suited for the role of Superman at all! He's thin and wirey and superman is borad and musc

Well I guess that Brandon James Routh, the guy who director Bryan Singer picked to star as Superman might not have the lead after all. My sources say that Eric Bana ("Hulk"), and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus in "X2") as well as David Boreanaz ("Angel") have all tested for the role of Superman lately.
I really liked Daniel Cudmore in X2, but i don't know if he's right for Superman. He definitely has the build for it. I think he's about 6'7.

Oh my gosh, my husband and watched this movie last night "When Angels Come to Town" (I love holiday movies and my mom said it was good) and we saw the perfect guy to play Superman! Well he'd have to bulk up a tiny bit but all during the movie I was thinking you know he looks like the perfect guy to play Superman. A little while after i thought that my husband said it out loud, so we both agreed that this guy should play Superman.  The actor's name is Seann Gallagher. |

The only other movies I've found that he's been in (American movies) have all been made for TV. Elosie (something like that), and Martha Inc. The story of Martha Stewart.

I did a search for Sean Gallagher on imdb.com imdb.com/name/nm0302491/I think it's a different guy to the one you found though Kris but oh well. |

Yeah I think that is a different guy then the one I saw. It doens't matter anyway because there are rumors going aound that Routh (the first post of this thread) is definitely going to play Superman despite all these other actors tryng out for the part.

*Lois Lane- Mischa Barton, Charisma Carpenter, Evangeline Lilly, Natile Portman, Keri Russel, and Mia Kirshner (all rumored prospects)
*Lex Luthor- Kevin Spacey (rumored but not confirmed)
*Perry White- Steve Martin (rumored but not confirmed)
*Jimmy Olsen- Adam Brody, Freddie Prinze Jr., Justin Timberlake, and Shawn Ashmore (all rumored prospects)
