=O! I was so surprised when I found out that they were making a movie out of them! I have read all of the books and I am a major fan of Mr. Snicket's, but when I saw the previews..well, they make it look so comical..or funny. I don't know, but I'm still going to see it, who knows, maybe it wont be so bad?
PS-For some reason the girl that plays Violet reminds me of a miniature Angelina Jolie...

I like the costume design but because Jim Carey's in it I think I may just buy the books and read those instead. I love Jim Carey but as of late he seems to have been a big let down so... myeah. I may eventually see it.

i love lemony snicket's books, i have read most of them for school, those are my absolute favorite books, i just learned about his books at the beginning of the school year, thanks to my language arts teacher

i think they are about the lives of three orphans living with this evil guy. they are orphans because there was a big fire at their house. Count Olaf (evil guy) wants to protect them so he can spend all their money. i think this is how it goes because i have never read the books.

in the books there are 3 kids nd there parents die nd they go with Count Olaf (or however u spell it) and he is pretty evil....i read the books.....they were ok.....  |

I liked it, I went to see it for a birthday party. It is not the best movie I have ever watched, but it was extremely unique.

I LOVED this movie. I would probably go see it again, too. I'd never heard of the books before I saw this, but now I want to read them. I would highly recommend this one!

It was very cute but it was kinda long. Visually awesome though, I love those types of stylized movies.

I went and saw the movie... I liked the costume and set design and about the first 10 minutes of the movie but that's all really. Wasn't my cup of tea.

Unique is a good word for what this movie was. I love the books (although I have never actually read one, I listen to the Book on Tape), it is such a novel idea for a series. Each book is full of enough detail to make a full movie, but I guess they think we won't attend that many movies in a series (I would). I am always sad when they try to condense several books into one movie, they can never quite do it justice. Also the kids would get old faster than 13 movies could come out- like Harry Potter, I LOVE those books and movies and wish wish wish there were a way for them to make the whole series into movies. I love the Batman, but there was another series of movies where they cramped too many bad guys into each movie. I though each bad guy was worthy of his own movie.
