Still busy with family a while longer

I really hate it that I can't be around as much as I would like right now, especially following my absence for vacation.

My Mom and I are in the process of clearing out Grandma's house, which involves a lot of packing, deciding who gets what, etc., meeting with the lawyers, insurance companies, etc. My Grandma has a three bedroom house full of furniture and belongings, so it's no easy task. And most of the paperwork is ending up my responsibility, mainly because I'm more used to doing it and it's just easier if I do it. So I barely have time to get on the computer at all. My poor little pets are all in the neolodge! Seems like about the only time I can get on is if I can't sleep in the middle of the night.

Anyway, I really miss chatting with all of you, so I wanted to let you know why I'm not around much right now. I'll try and check in as much as I can.

Just an update....I'm still overloaded with family responsibilities, but I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's going to take some more time to get Grandma's house ready to rent. I swear, that woman has so much stuff! But she's lived in that house since she and Grandad had it built way back when I was a little girl, so it's understandable. Tomorrow we are moving furniture. Today I spent the day unloading and cleaning kitchen cabinets. And I also have a meeting with the nursing home Plan of Care committee tomorrow. See...it just never ends!!!!!!

Anyway, I've been trying to get on at least once a day and check in, and hopefully I'm staying in tune with what's going on. But if I'm not on to chat like usual, please don't think I don't miss you guys, cause I do. I'll be glad when I can be around 24/7 like I used to be!

good luck with everything! i know family keeps you busy. my step daughter was in mississippi and lost everything during the hurricane so she is staying with my exhusband (she with her husband, dog and three cats lol) but i am trying to be around them too, i don't get to see them that often. and soccer started which drew and graeson are playing. drake in boy scouts and chorus, graeson in dance so the only day off of any activity is friday and sundays lol...but i do get to have my nights to myself.

Oh I know..The damage that hurricane katrina caused..But everywhere I look there's some sort of donation or fund going on..I see a lot these local schools and stores.
