My internet is being really really stupid. I called TIMEWARNER and was on the phone with them for an hour but NOTHING. I tried 50 different things and nothing. If it doesn't resolve it self by tomorrow I'm calling this time complain and I'm not going to be quite so pleasant. It's not on my end, I'm certain.
At any rate, until this internet fiasco is settled I'm afraid my availability on here will be quite limited.

Awww dl, that bites. I'm sorry you haven't gotten your problem fixed. I think I would be losing my temper with them by now. Maybe that is what its gonna take to get them to fix it.
Internet "quacky"? hahaha At least you still have your sense of humor.

i am not sure what you internets doing..i have time warner too but mine is acting goofy as well....very very slow and pages not loading...i tried playing a few games in neopets can't get them loaded...like pawket slots and the adver- video ones...and photobucket won't load pictures in like forever! i was just about going to reformat but haven't felt up to it...not sure if this is whats going on with you or not but thats what i am dealing with..i may have to reformat when i can get on here and spend time..i know i did try to go back to a recovery point and my computer won't even do that so mine could be just a virus or something on my computer...i just haven't felt like worrying with it...

I think a lot of people are having TW problems, especially here in SoCal where they just recently took over. It's very frustrating. I was going to reformat my computer but since my brother's internet is doing the same thing I don't see the point, especially since I reformated completely this past August. I'm very annoyed.

True, it doesn't seem like your computer should need formating again so soon. It must be the ISP.

Internet officially no longer quacky!!
They came over today and did a flurry of different things. They were so quick and efficient the both of them. Whatever it was that they did, they fixed the internet and it certainly was not on my computer. The only time they spent on my computer was to check the connection speed.
And now that they gave me a new modem, my internet connection runs SLIGHTLY faster than before it stopped working!!!

Here's a funny one for you. For a while there I thought either my monitor had died (it's less than a year old) or my video card had overheated because I had no video on the screen at all. Nada. No restarting helped...nothing. It had been making a weird noise the day before, so I thought oh poop, my fan had gone out on my graphics card and it burnt it up. My computer is really hard to move because there is SOMEONE who lives here with me who has a thing about fastening down every last cord and plug to the point of no movement. Anyway, I waited on Art to get up from sleeping, so he could pull it out for me, and we found out that my graphics card had worked itself out of the motherboard! The screw that's supposed to hold it in was nowhere to be found. I had put a heavy duty fan on it some time ago, so I don't know if the heavier fan weight caused it to vibrate out or what, but as soon as we snapped it back in and got a screw that would fit, everything worked. That's probably the cheapest computer repair I've ever had! But for a while I thought it was gonna be expensive.

For a change!! ;D
Mitch is doing an upgrade to Vista on my dad's computer tomorrow...so I'll let you all know how that goes. I'm thinking of doing it next on my pc. I haven't got a valid key for my XP on that one, so it needs an upgrade. I'm curious to see what Vista looks like. Probably not a huge change.

I'm glad your Internet is speedier than before! Mine is screwing up a lot, too. Since I just recently got my iPod, I've been opening iTunes as well as the Internet every time I use the computer. Never before has it posed a problem, but now I noticed that if I open iTunes BEFORE the Internet, the Internet won't connect. It's the weirdest thing, and I don't know why it happens. Now I always have to make sure the Internet is open before I use iTunes.
