Hi guys...just a quick note to let you know that I will be gone for a week starting the 18th of February. We're going to Tennessee to hole up in the mountains and relax.

I thought about taking my laptop with me, but I really think a week's vacation from the computer might be a good thing.

Actually, that doesn't sound too bad. We both have cel phones if anyone needs us. And I'm going to need some downtime after trying to get ready to go! I'm so bad about packing...I always put it off until the day before we go. And I have to make sure the house is clean because my neighbor will be in here to take care of my dogs and my cat, three times a day, and Mom and Dad will be here once a day. Mom and Dad have seen my house in all it's various stages of clean (or messy) but my neighbor's house is SPOTLESS and she has three little kids, two dogs, and a cat. Sheesh. Oh well...it will be here when I get back if I don't get to it.  |

i sure wish you guys would go to the beach once in a while and then could stop off in my town for a visit...if nothing more than us meeting for lunch or supper...not that food and i still have a workable relationship yet but still would love that so much. oh but have a great time on your vacation

That could possibly happen this summer, Lisa. Right now I've made reservations for August for Daytona Beach, but I'm thinking about renting that one out and trying to get something in Myrtle Beach. Bluegreen has a couple of new resorts there that look really nice. If that happens I'll be sure to see if we can work something out to get together. That would be so much fun!
We had a great time in Tennessee. The weather was good..in the upper 60s and lower 70s, and it only rained once for a few hours on one afternoon. The rest of the time it was sunny. I just love the mountains. We got in the truck and drove WAY up.....we just about got lost but we finally got back on track. It was a lot of fun but sometimes the drop-offs at the edge of the road make me a bit nervous!!

actually bunny i think my ex husband and i are taking the kids to the beach in august so heck we might can meet up at the beach and really have a nice nice place to meet and eat. yeahi know its strange to take a trip with your ex but neither one of us feels comfortable taking the kids (3) of them alone on a vacation...if we were at the rides then he can stay with graeson and me take the boys around and stuff like that so we get along well enough to do that sort of thing...i guess in that respect i am lucky

Yes, you are lucky that the two of you can do things together for the sake of the kids. And if we do end up going in August maybe we can get together! That would be so much fun. |

yeah there are times we can't talk in person but with the kids there they rarely let us talk anyway lol... but so far its never been a problem well one time he was wanting us to get back together but i was like there is no way in the world that is happening lol anyway its helpful that we can exist around each other with little problems.
