Hey everyone,
My very close aunt died yesterday. She lost her battle with cancer. I will be in and out on the internet for the next few days as we grieve and prepare for her funeral. Thanks for understanding.
Joey

Thanks Kris. It was really hard yesterday but we've all made our peace with her so things are on the mend. The next few days will be hard though.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Joey. I know how hard is to watch someone suffer from cancer and fight it and then lose the battle. It's easy to say well...maybe it's for the best because they aren't suffering now. I heard that when my brother died. And while it may be true, and those who express that thought are being kind, it's hard to love and miss someone so much and think it's for the best. You may know that in your head, but your heart is a totally different thing altogether. I'm sorry you and your family are going to have to go through this sad and difficult time. When I lost my Grandma (which was to old age so I was prepared somewhat) it really helped to try to picture her as she was before she became feeble and ill. I'm sure you must have lots of happy memories of your Aunt, so maybe if you can try to bring some of those to mind it will help a little bit. As time passes, after you make it through the next week or so, it will be easier to focus on those happy memories once the actual memorial is complete. You will never stop missing her, but the pain will ease. Please know that you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. If I can help you with anything around the guild, all you have to do is ask. If I was closer you'd probably have to eat some of my cooking. Take care, Joey.

Thanks again everyone. And I do Susan, I keep thinking of all the good and happy times. Then lately once in a while I'll remember things we were gonna do with her or movies we were gonna watch with her or things we were gonna buy with her that I never got to do and then that's hard.
This is really hard on all of us since we were all so close to her. She was my mom's only sister. At any rate, I think we are all on a very healthy healing path. Still the next few days will be hard.

Joey, Hang in there it will get easier, try not to dwell on the things you didn't get to do, it is hard. My prayers are with you and your family if you need anything let me know.

Oh my gosh...I am deeply sorry to hear about your aunt's battle with cancer, and I'm very sorry to hear about the outcome. I can understand that you are going through a rough time. Don't worry about the guild at this time. I think we can hold it up pretty well for now. I, too, know someone with cancer and am praying for her safe recovery. It's such a hard thing to deal with, and there needs to be a cure for this...available to the public. I'll be thinking about you and your family.
