Do you know why!? Is it because of vista or is it your internet?

What exactly is happening that's preventing you from commenting and feeding your pets??
I'm on Vista right now.

I don't like vista either, but I think it has more to do with internet explorer's connection with vista. I use firefox now, it works so much better.

Yeah, I'm not encountering too many problems with Vista. That's so strange! I can't help ya here, I guess.

I sometimes have problems using IE, which I still like better than Firefox. I have both and switch back and forth. Sometimes IE just shuts down and restarts. But I've used IE for so long that it just feels more comfortable to me. Mitch put Firefox on here. He also put Ubunto on, but I haven't used that yet. That would be totally different. Does anyone use that instead of Vista or XP?
I have an awful lot of programs on my Vista machine and tend to run a few applications at once, plus the usual things that run in the background. I think that tends to slow it down some. Vista is a HUGE OS, and it runs slower than XP. I have a dual core processor on this machine, with plenty of RAM, and it still will run a bit slower than my XP machine that doesn't even have a dual core processor. Mitch has been trying to talk me into taking Vista off of this one and just running XP on everything, because he says it would be even faster. Some older programs do have compatibility issues with Vista, but you can sometimes go to the program site and download a Vista patch. I'm seeing that more and more. But I'm still a bit reluctant to get rid of Vista altogether, because I do think eventually the updates will fix most of the issues. I admit though, I do usually end up doing what Mitch recommends, and I haven't really found him to be wrong in the past where my computer is concerned. So I'm not sure how long I'll keep Vista around. I can always put it back later when it's more stablized if I change now.

well they have a updated patch that is suppose to cure all problems they have "heard" about..i dled it and still it never helped...but i did get help with the issue i was having...i had to set i think something back to default settings...thinking it was internet explorer...but not sure sure...i was on line to tech support for this computer for over an hour before we could straighten out the problem....i would go back to XP if i was able to get the programs i have on here like the lightscribe and other neat programs....but now they are working on a new windows program...i wish my computer could have held out til then! cause i love 95, 98 and 2000 (think those are the correct names) and I loved loved XP
