sorry i haven't been too active this week...my grandmother who was 97 passed away last night...but was sick this past week and we were expecting this to happen. she wasn't able to eat nor drink since sunday....her veins were so brittle and fragile they couldn't even give her fluids by IV...but after a long struggle she peacefully passed away last night..so until all the funeral proceedings are over i will be very active...having family coming in this week....

That must of been hard. I'm sorry to here that.  But at least we know she is in a better place. |

I'm deeply sorry to hear your grandmother passed away, fairy. I feel what you're going through. My grandmother just passed away a week ago. It's really hard to deal with, but with all your friends and family support it's easier not to feel alone.
Don't worry about being inactive or anything.

well tonights the first night in a week thats been semi normal...all last week i tried making sure we spent time with her in the hospital..this weekend we meet with the funeral director and preachers and made final arrangments...we have a very close knit family and we were there with my parents from midday til their bed time...with the kids in school i stayed home and then my parents wanted to go to bed early this evening...they are worn out...its amazing how doing nothing but keeping each other company can wear you out...tonight i am waiting for my cousins to come in one from ga and the other from tenn..they are staying with me...then we have the visitation tomorrow evening and the funeral wed...then i find out my exhusband has booked a place at the beach for the weekend...and we both take the kids on vacation cause its too hard for either of us to do it alone...so i am gonna be slap worn out and need a vacation when this week is done! cause i have one day after the cousins leave to get my house back to normal and pack to leave out friday first thing in the morning....
thanks for all your thoughts and prayers...she is better off and with her loved ones that left before her now....so she is happy.

So sorry for your loss Lisa. My grandmother died in November and was 97 as well. It's still hard but I kept thinking at least she had a long and wonderful life.

oh yeah its been a very busy crazy time..but its been a peaceful time..we all know she lived a long life and most of it in perfect health...we were blessed to have 97 years with her..now its time for her to go be with the other family who passed before her...everyone who handled the services made it not depressing..but uplifting and that really helped...cause i have very little experience with family passing...which i am thankful for
